I'm sure for some of you the notion of getting into this will grind at your moral fiber so I propose this to the rest of you. Before the Iraq war in 1992 the Dinar (Iraqs measure of currency) was at 3.27 U.S. dollars to 1 Dinar. Up to the invasion of the coallition, it was at .33 U.S. to 1 Dinar. It is now at 1 U.S. dollar to 1460 Dinar. With reconstuction under way, debt forgiveness being granted by countries thoughout the world, and the new government taking hold. It is estimated that when their currency is once again on Forex (the foreign exchange), it will return at somewhere between .02 U.S. to 1 U.S. to one Dinar. Some web sites offer 1,000,000 New Dinar at a rate of $840 to $1000 U.S..
So what in the hell does this mean? Spend a thousand dollars now and who knows...somewhere between now and a couple years maybe your money will very likely be worth $20,000 (at .02) to $1,000,000 (at 1:1). They are the second largest oil producer in the world and considered the bread basket for agriculture due to the Euphrates and Tigris rivers. (the most water abundant country in the Middle East).
They just made it through their first open election with the Shite's and the Kurds taking the vote. These two completely political factions are working towards Sunni envolvement and are accomplishing their goal. Recently, 62 of the top Sunni Clerics endorsed a notice to their people to join the process. Join the armed forces, police, etc.....Old wounds will be healed and the country will be hole again!
There is another forum...www.investorsiraq.com where you can read and decide for yourself. As for myself, I have 5,000,000 and my lady has another 5,000,000 in Iraq dinar in our safety deposit boxes waiting for the day. If it opens at .33, we both have 1.2 million after taxes!
Greedy bastard making his spoils off from war they say! Say what you want! With 2.4 mill. it would be very easy to make a sizable donations to the families of fallen soldiers, orphaned children in Iraq, and other groups while still retiring to a life that will allow us do as we wish. A bag of good bud in the area costs $400 and swag goes for $200. Cut back a little bit...invest...and write your own destiny!
There is a risk to everything and this isn't engraved in stone. If it busts somehow, I can look in the mirror and say "Dumbass, at least you tried!" Better that than "Dumbass, you should have done it!"
Of course if your own convictions against the war is so great that you would consider this dirty money made off the lives of others. That is your own opinion and I can definately respect that! As for myself, I think the raping of school girls by Sadams boys, the slaughter of Kurds and Shite's by Sadam and his henchmen, reward money for Martyrs killing Jews, etc.... was reason enough for our actions. Food for Oil program which was handled by dirty politicians with self interests was by no means helping the people of Iraq. Members of the republican gaurd loved the scotch bought with the funds...lawmakers in other countries loved the kickbacks...Sadam loved his new castles.
Well off my soap box. The decision is yours. Just thought I'd bring it up and make you aware of the opportunity. Before the invasion of Kuwait, the Kuwait Dinar was worth 3.21 US to 1 Kuwait Dinar. After the liberation, the Kuwait Dinar dropped to .10 US. It is now, and has been for quite a while, back to the old standard of 3.21. If this same senerio happens in Iraq, my 5,000,000 will be worth $13,600,000 after taxes making this $27,000,000 with my lady. Thats the kind of money that can do alot of good for those in need!
The war happened...can't change that; people died...can't change that either. Take the money out of the hands of the dirty money grubbing bastards that created this and do some good with it.
We all know we can't trust our leaders. With money brings power and with power changes can be created. Twenty new multi millionairs would have alot of influence to create a new enviroment in Canada and the U.S. for people in need of medical marijuana not to mention an overall change in the backwards philosophy of politicians still living in the 1930,s Reefer Madness frame of mind. And if change can't be created, fuck em! I'll go smoke where it's legal! :D

Awesome. Lets exploit some poor little country that has managed to get in the middle of our cluster fuck of activities in the Middle East just to make a fuckin dollar? Is there any decency in this world, or are people so fuckin blind to the fact that money is just a lure into nothingness. All it gets you is more useless shit. Every sad soul is caught in the trap. Fuck Money, Fuck Exploitation!

Wrong. The only good use for money is buying weed. But then again, weed should be legal and free, grown in every visible patch of grass and good soil.

Swing and a miss. Actually if you buy their currency it ISN'T exploiting them at all. In fact, you are giving them a short term loan with no written agreement of payment amount or time frame. As for the fuck money....it's nice to be young. :D

Let me know when you make your millions. I still think it is exploitation because of the circumstances leading up to what happened, which is our war in Iraq. If it wasn't for us, then this wouldn't have happened.

They just made it through their first open election with the Shite's and the Kurds taking the vote. These two completely political factions are working towards Sunni envolvement and are accomplishing their goal.

I'm not even sure what that means.

Recently, 62 of the top Sunni Clerics endorsed a notice to their people to join the process. Join the armed forces, police, etc.....Old wounds will be healed and the country will be hole again!

You're right, but you didn't mean to be.

And said donation would go nowhere to obstructing the American Empire.

As for myself, i think that these rationalizations are absurd. The bulk of Saddam's crimes were commited with atleast tacit U.S. support. In the case of ''the slaughter of Kurds and Shite's by Sadam and his henchmen...'' (presumably referring to the aftermath of the Gulf 'War') with more than tacit support.

Even more to the heart of the issue is the analytical quagmire upon which such an argument rests. America has imperial ambitions; not moral anguish.

Food for Oil program which was handled by dirty politicians with self interests was by no means helping the people of Iraq. Members of the republican gaurd loved the scotch bought with the funds...lawmakers in other countries loved the kickbacks...Sadam loved his new castles.

Complete red herring. The real scandal was the sanctions: an horrific act of terrorism by any reasonable standards.

Forgive me if I find it hard to believe that a supplement to the capitalist class will be any kind of an improvement.
