I have a plant thats about a month old. I got the seed from a friend, and he said it was a sativa strain. But it is not growing tall. It is growing bushy and there is like 1/4 inch between the nodes. The plant is 7 inches tall and under 6 23 watt cfls and 2-13watt cfls, in a cabnet 4' long 2' tall and 2' wide. i think she is getting plenty of light. I just thought that some grow pro could tell me if this is a sativa or hybrid. Also some input on how she looks..This is my first grow so i would love to hear your input.

Look like hybrids def. They look a little bit slow on growth (imo). Usually happens with cfl. HID lights are unchallenged. You should have a bit more strechng under ideal/vigerous growth. GL man!

If your cabinet is only 2 feet tall, you might want to consider flowering soon. You will notice a remarkable amount of stretch if there is a sativa dominance, it may get up to 3x the height it is now.

Outside of that it looks fine, CFL just doesn't give the same results as HID. From what I have seen on here, yours looks on par. Don't sweat too much, just make sure you have planned enough space to finish.

You said it's a month old. How large of a container is it presently in? In my experience, my vegging plants usually slow to a crawl if they are in need of a transplant. Just something to consider.

Peace.

:rasta:Thx for the replies, i agree they are a little small. But i had burned them with nutes when they where about 2 weeks old. NOOB mistake so i experianced some lock out issues. But soon as i flushed them , a few days later they started to explode. The plants are currently in 2 gal pots, and have been in 12/12 for 3 days now. So they are currently in the dark. I will take pic on there next light cycle. I have recently started 2 lavender plants, and the are growing way faster. Now that i have done some research on here and have some good advice to troll thru! Anyway thanks for the tips and ill post some updated pics soon.
