Wondering if anyone here has a heart condition? I have mild mitral valve prolapse and moderate aortic valve regurgitation.

A year ago I accidentally vaped more then I expected and got high when I wasnt trying to and had a panic attack and called an ambulance. My blood pressure was 160/80, heart rate 180 , palpitations, pale skin, shaking, stumbling, scared as fuck. Medics said I was going into cardiac arrest. Saw cardiologist few days after that and he didnt seem concerned and said it is ok in moderation.

Recently I think that the symptoms where from the panic attack and low blood sugar mostly. I'm curious to check my vitals during a sober panic attack. I havent used any herb for over a year though so I don't know how it would effect me now, I'll talk to my cardiologist again in December because I really wana be able to use the herb for all it's benefits.

Anyone else have a heart condition?

I also have had serious heart episodes, etc., ... sounds like you got an anxiety attack, and let your fear get the best of your heart, running your BP up so high ... if you try it again, just try a tiny amount, and perhaps try a more indica-leaning strain ... sativas tend to produce anxiety and paranoia, in some people ... it really sounds like your problem was seated in anxiety/fear, not caused by your heart valve probs, but I aint a doctor ... I noted your cardiologist wasn't concerned with pot use, too ... good luck :smokin:

I have also had heart troubles while smoking weed as well as an irregular heart beat. It is at its worse when I smoke blunts. During the attacks I experience palpitations a heart rate around 120 bpm and a moderately high blood pressure. I have also been to the ER due to a panic attack and been alright and I have also been to a cardiologist and was told my heart was fine. Some advice that I would recommend that has worked for me is excersing regularly and maintaining a balanced healthy diet. Also lay off the caffiene or anything else that you may think to trigger your heart rate. Whenever I feel a panic attack coming for some reason it is very difficult to remain positive even though I know everything is going to be alright. What I try to do is keep my mind focused on something else and eventually I will forget about my heart and my heart rate will slow down. I feel the hardest part to get through is the initial panic attack but it may vary among others. Its also relieving to know that no one has ever died from marijuana and that it won't hurt your heart. The most important thing is to maintain a positive attitude and to have a good time. Hope this helps.
