Keep in mind we grade on a bell curve ( like Law School) so anything with an A-, A or A+ is exceptional or top 5-10%.

I agree, I really liked it and the DD. I actually had a difficult time shooting the Urkle OG which is odd, purple strains are for the most part easier to photograph, but due the the amount of Trichomes it proved to be difficult to get images without too many soft spots. Hit me up if you want me to email you photos that you can blow up for your wall.

Whatever. Bullshit.... most of the stuff is straight crap at the dispensaries. IMO that purple og rates in the top 1% of publicly available medical marijuana in the state, that much is sure.
Really, great meds, thanks! The urkel nicely comes through to add in some berry goodness and a greater euphoria to the effect of the OG. I owe you one for sure....

I loved the Urkel OG, and would give it an A+. Definatley grown very well, and its a strain i have never seen, smells and tastes great. The only constructive criticism i could give is to remove more of the buds from the stems. I got a nice 1/8th that was one bud, but it was a huge stem with three buds on it. For 60$ an eighth, there should be no stem or leaf. Cant wait to try some of the diesel dog. Those nancy b's are amazing too!

[quote=neversummer]there should be no stem or leaf. QUOTE]
Without stems or leafs you won't have buds, its just not posible. lol Dried stems hardly weigh anyways. And a bud that big is going is going to make up for it with potency. I'd personally rather have top buds than popcorn nugs.
I can't wait to try it after seeing the pic's and reading all the reviews.

Yeah, I agree. And it's not like CCF is stingy on the weighing process either. I take it most places aren't, but still. I think Bryan is a top notch guy and a valuable asset to our community for several reasons, and I don't mind paying for truly world class art/medicine. I want dude to make money. If I ever drove down there one day and the place was boarded up (so to speak) I'd be truly saddened.
Don't get your hopes up too high Turbo, it's still just weed. But it is GREAT stuff. Of course, so was the Jilly Bean, the SFV OG, the Fire OG Kush, the Cantaloupe Haze, and the Casey Jones too.
There have been other killer strains (some that I've probably forgotten about :stoned:) but those have all been sensational.

I forgot all about the Sensi Star X Northern Lights  That stuff was GREAT as well. Is that coming back around anytime soon?
B, excuse the ignorance, but what keeps a person from having perpetual harvests of all these awesome strains? I'd really like to get to a point where I have access to the same meds, or at least a small group of the same meds, all the time.

Right now space is the only thing holding me back. I got 5 flower rooms each turning out medicine every 2-3 wks, i usually do 2-4 stains per room. Ive ran larger variety grows before, and it is REALLY difficult to keep up and guarantee everything is coming out as it should. When I only do a few strains per room it is much easier to keep quality control. And when you have 30+ strains and every one of them is killer, its just a matter of selection. I know when i hear positive feedback on strains, im more likely to put that strain back into flowerroom.
Steve I know you liked that cannalope haze, right now I have a c99 which is what cannalope haze originated from. Alot of growers actually give me shit for keeping a c99 AND a cannalope haze, but hey good pot is good pot!!
Oh and I will be bringing that c99xogkush back in real soon. I know that was a big hit.
there should be no stem or leaf.
Never, I usually cut all excess stems off. If you happened to get a big stem from that 1/8, feel free to bring it back and ill compensate whatever the weight is with some more nug of the urkle og. Here its all about love. If theres ever something wrong, or you dont like the way weve done something, PLEASE tell us about it. I really strive to make every patients visit as positive as possible, so if we can ever do anything to help ya out, feel free to hollar at us.

Yes at this point an A- and B+ should by
default be the most common grade. We've intentionally left out C+ at
this stage because there are so many we haven't reviewed yet. It just
isnt that beneficial to the reader yet. Once the offerings have been
reviewed through once I imagine we will be forced to actually display
the lowest of the low with the rest. Right now we justnpitch it and
tell the owner they shouldn't be selling that strain. So you would be correct if we never intended to use lower grades but at this point we are starting at the top and working our way down.
Bryan once again an A- is an excellent grade.

Am I a fan of CCF... damm straight, a huge fan.
In my world, Bryan and all his diligent work are the standard against which I measure all other dispensaries. His business model, ethics, and facility are a cut above the average dispensary.
What I like... in no particular order...
1- Selection of product. Whether bud, edibles, or accessories I've never felt the selection is less than outstanding.
2- Attitude. Never have I felt hurried or under pressure to get in and get out when shopping for bud. Money is tight for me and I want to insure I get the best for my dollar. (And too I'm still enamored with "shopping" for bud. A civilized process and I love not looking over my shoulder!!)
3- Value for my money. Selection, price, and quality all rock at CCF.
4- Bryan and all the folks remember me. It's truly pleasant to be greeted by name and feel genuinely welcomed.
5- Product... Never have I been disappointed with a purchase. And I truly appreciate the labeling on the containers. Listing the balance of sativa/indica helps me tailor the effects and remember why I selected that particular product.
6- Honesty. CCF's pricing is an honest reflection of their product value.
7- Strains... Chemdog, Bullryder, Bluebubble, Heidi Fleiss, and Mango Haze. Nuttin but the best. All recommended for specific qualities and all work fantastic.
There's but a few select dispensaries I shop at these days. CCF, CAM, Releaf Center, and Delta9. I consider them all excellent but my number one go to is CCF. Thanks Bryan, and all the above listed, for making my MMJ experience all I hope it to be. Keep up the good work and I'll be seeing you soon. :smokin:

CCF is top notch in Denver.
On another note, these marijuana reviewers crack me up, seriously! Buzz length, aroma, etc. I consider myself a connoisseur, however, this information is just a bunch of fluff. Just a way to capitalize on the marijuana biz.
KindReciews, I've smoked several of your strains that received A's, whereas this purple OG received an A-. I can tell just from looking at the purple OG that its FAR better than G-13 from ReLeaf or NYCD from Pure, or ANYTHING I've ever gotten at Herbal Connections Highlands.
It just doesn't seem very consistent at all bro! In fact its retarded. Your worst grade is a B- making an A-/B average. So Purple OG is just average run of the mill dispensery fare in your book. Whereas in reality its a step above!
I understand why these guys don't want to give D and F's to dispensaries because they make advertising money from them (and/or get free samples from them) and don't want to piss them off. But that really makes it meaningless for the consumer. I'm sure most of the guys on here don't really read these reviews for the most part as many of us truly are connoisseurs.
After Strainman how many more of these guys do we need?

It's cool, we are glad you have your own opinion that's what keeps us all going. Just a little info with out giving up too much information, each review we do is tested by not only by myself but others and we compile information to make our final decision. We were also the first review site for Colorado http: //www.whois.net/: you can look for yourself. We do have paid advertisors and they get bad grades when we get poor quality strains. Black Magic (Delta 9) | KindReviews (http://www.kindreviews.com/2010/02/07/black-magic-delta-9/). We left out the C's, D's and F's for now, but they will come in the future hence A- being a very good grade in our book. We have reviewed more strains from more places then any other site in Colorado and in doing so we have seen many good strains and a few great strains. I appreciate your opinion 100% and hope to continue guide our followers to great medicine.

With love to Kr, I agree with this. The whole evaluation scale is screwed anyway. I hadn't had any herb for 3 days, my longest break since getting my card in Early December, and I was back in at CCF today, grabbing The Diesel Dawg and more Urkel OG, and I'm saying, if people REALLY think there is better weed then this out there, they're living on a different planet then I am. NO offense intended, but it's my view.
This bud is PERFECT looking, smelling and grown. The cure is friznuckin' perfect, and the trichromes are dead on. It's iced out through and through, while being sticky and firm to the touch. The taste is pure OG perfection with a subtle hint of grape soda flavor. After you take a hit, the room starts to smell of a garden in bloom. My kids asked if we'd brought flowers into our room. And that was the SMOKE, so you can imagine the hit. :smokin:
You can't do better than this. You can do a tad different, or an equal variation, but this is certified "as good as it gets". Equal, but not superior. Sure, we all have our tastes, and this may not be everyone's cup of tea, but from an unbiased standpoint, anyone who knows what they're talking about will say this is gold standard fare. How many Cups have you been to Bryan? What about the people reviewing the strains? What are their pedigrees? It's a fair question is it not?
Besides, the scales are skewered. It's is NOT a 0-100 scale, as there is NO way on God's green earth ANY of us are going to smoke weed that by looking at and smelling we judge to be a 50 "pointer" or less. NO way. If I have a 100 point chicken breast in my fridge, organic Colorado fair trade humanly grown hippie chicken, and I come back a few days later, and my mechanical brain looks at it and says, "Wow, this was a 100 point breast, now it's probably about a 50 pointer" I AM NOT EATING IT. It's got mold and smells, and so on. So we're not smoking that weed. So really, what is the lowest grade of weed we're going to smoke? 60 pointers? What is that? Kind schwag?
So for the sake of argument, a bud that looks tumbled, has messed up triches, tastes and smells like shit is what, a 60? Let's be real assholes and give it a 45, half of the Urkel OG, is that fair? Well, no not really. Because just like the rotten chicken meat, the herb is WORTHLESS. It's not HALF of what the Urkel is, it is 0% of it. It sucks while costing what, 10% less?
So what were really dealing with here is a scale of true medicinal herb. So lets say that the low end is an F at 60% and herb that is EXACTLY what it should be is 100%. So shit weed gets an F just for showing up, and that's 60% of the score? That's really fucked and makes no sense but let's move on. What it seems to me we are dealing with is the area from 60-100 percent, or 40 percentage points.
The Urkel OG got an A-, which is 90-91. That's about 75% of the TRUE possible points ranging from absolute awful shit weed coming in at 60 points (which again by some bent standard is about 66% of The Urkels' score just for being grown even if it is pure shit) to this undefined ideal of "perfection" that gets the 100% crown.
There is no way on God's green earth that this gets 75% of the possible points.
So if this is not as good as it gets, somebody PLEASE tell me and Bryan and everyone how to make it better, cause I can't see it. The guy is obviously passionate (like many of you are) and I bet if you have anything real to offer, I'm sure he'll listen. I know I'd like to know.
So just how do you make this 9 to 10 points (which is either 10% or 25% of the possible total score and huge either way) better???
Let's hear it. I'm ALL ears.
peace and blessings to all

I'm ALL ears.
peace and blessings to all
Steve, I agree with a lot of what you say. Mostly, it is difficult to find
a perfect grading system. The one our team is most familiar with is a
top-tier law school from experience. The worst student in that school has
the intelligence to be president (or something that actually takes
intelligence) and they will receive a C+. KindReviews doesn't pick up any
marijuana that wouldn't be accepted into such a school, they are all good
(or supposedly).
So the curve (we've redistributed the curve last night and will be updating
grades this week) is currently over 100 strains. That means 3 or 4 ONLY
will receive an A+ out of that 100. Same story for C+ which now has 4
strains. A and B- will each garner 10-15 strains, with A- and B holding
another 20ish. That gives B+ about 30 on its own and pushes our small
curve. We elected to make a shallower curve because we feel 50-60 strains
in B+ out of 100 doesn't assist the person who probably needs the site (or
any review board) the most. A brand new patient, novice smoker, or 60s
smoker only maybe doesn't need the Bruce Banner #3 or the Plum Kush to find
what they are looking for.
I know that only partially addresses your rotten chicken analogy, but the
truth is if they show up in our system they are good enough to make a top
tier law school, so D and F grades don't apply here. Black Magic and our
Purple Urkel sample rank as the worst, they are the bottom of the barrel
(they are both WAY better than any shit weed I smoked in high school but
they are the worst at this "gathering").
An A- for the Urkel-OG says this definitively, KR.com thinks this is above
average in a group of superstars, it stands on its own as an amazing strain
and should be acquired whenever possible. But it also says this, out of our
multi-reviewer team, reviewing on multiple occasions and under differing
circumstances we feel the Afgooey (Delta 9), the Blue Dream (CCH), the Hong
Kong, and the Skunk #1 (HC) all had more consistently strong effects than
did the Urkel-OG. Is that bad? No. Is it true? Yes - for us. We've
reviewed them all this exact same way. We are all in our 30s, we've all
smoked for 15+ years daily, some of us grow, we have different reasons for
getting our cards. If one strain makes all of us say A and another has one
A+, A, A-, A-, B, B it's getting an A- or B+ (and would probably be
re-reviewed just on that question, A- or B+).
The simple fact is, we may live on different planets and that's okay, but an
A or A+ grade won't go to a strain that has any reviewers on our team giving
it less than an A, we just can't do that because it's our standard.
Lastly, Steve and the rest, thank you for sharing your feedback. You all
forced us to redistribute the curve earlier than we planned and we forced
ourselves to make the time to do it - you will see many A- strains are now
B+ strains and so on. That's a good exercise for our team and it brings
additional value to our reader. I also want to make sure that people know
we appreciate the "experts" getting involved, commenting, questioning and
such, but we started the site for different reasons. My father's sudden and
severe headaches, our sister's chemotherapy, a grandmother's serious
question about paranoia. These are the people who need information the
most, the rest who enjoy the site obviously make us happy and we hope that
you too can add value for the clueless or questioning patient. I also
encourage you to go to National Weedographic - A Place To Share (http://www.nationalweedographic.com) where it's an open forum
for all. Talk smack on KR.com, that's fine, goof out on some stoner shit,
that's fine, start a for real science discussion, I'd love it - just come
get (or stay) involved. I love this industry and have great passion for the
plant and its surroundings. Diatribe done... :)

Then let's make that happen!!!!! You should also enter it in the Boulder Cannabis Cup, TheStrainMan, Channing (Denver Chronicle) and myself will be 3 of the 15 judges. Entries have to be in by April 1st. We should also coordinate a local blind test.

^I know what I'd pick.
I guess it goes to show the inherent subjectivity to the weed experience.
KR thanks for that post. It helps kind of understand where you're coming from.
I've also been smoking for 15+ years. And I've been hitting dispensaries for nearly 6 months now. I had a good job that allowed me to sample 8ths/grams from places almost on a daily basis, i.e. probably as much as or more than marijuana reviewers.
CCF is the ONLY dispensary where I feel I haven't gotten some kind of tarnished bud be it either mold, wetness, immaturity, improper/no cure, chemical/neem taste, etc. This has happened multiple times at many dispensaries. Over time, I unconsciously started showing up at CCF more. I noticed over time that the quality was far above par across the board there. Yeah, you MAY occasionally be able to find something as good or better (debatable) at certain other dispensaries, but you will also be let down more frequently. And I know of no other shop with the in-house quality and selection... Even when considering THC up in Rollinsville - most of those jars are vendor weed from my understanding.
You know it started out FarmerSteve really talking these guys up. I went once and didn't really see what he was so excited about. I thought he worked for them! Then after 2-3 more trips I'm singing the same song!
So I see where you're coming from although we will have to agree to disagree. I've had Banner from D9, I believe it was number 3. IMO most of my purchases from CCF have been as good or better than the Banner. And good luck getting yourself some Banner anyway!! The only thing I really didn't understand was the stuff from Herbal Connections getting an A+!! I've been in there countless times and they've never had anything remotely good as what I've gotten at CCF. I sometimes wondered if they even had the connections. They have far too much questionable vendor product there. I suppose they could've gotten lucky with good product a few times.
And I understand you're not rating dispensaries! I guess I'm just trying to give some insight on why some people feel CCF got robbed. I just hope that you'll make it into CCF for a few more reviews so you may see what some of us see in CCF.
Peace

I get that a lot
It makes sense, and I REALLY appreciate KR taking my words with kindness AND the fact that it helped improve a flawed scale. Like lampost said though, it's all in the tongue of the beholder.
I'm just saying, unless you are really into one or two strains from different places, CCF is going to have across the board fire that nobody can match. Period. I've sat in awe watching lampost go through and review a LOT of weed, and even though I've never met him, I KNOW he knows what's up.
I've had everything I want to try in Metro/Boulder/Nederland with the exception of Banner, Tangerine Haze at THC, and Sage from OBM. I haven't reviewed anything on here unless I have something nice to say, my opinion is just that. But in all honesty, I've had CAM's supposed best stuff, and compared to Bryan's gear, it wasn't nothing, and the guys were dicks to me when I went in both times. That counts for something no?

Bryan and I have laughed about this a few times. But I know now what I believed then, that his bud is unbeatable.
I'm not going to get into it, but even though I'm from an anti herb state, and cut my teeth on brick pack and mids, I have had amazing stuff. A FOAF in my 20's grew strains that were entered into the Cup (when it still mattered) and was KNOWN amongst PLAYERS (literal pro athletes and ballers) in the Phoenix metro area. His work has always been the standard that I have held as I have searched for the "holy grail grower".
And that's why I asked what people's creds were. You can drink wine for 30 years, even spend a ton of money on it, and till not know WTF you're talking about. I've drank for 5 or so years, don't have a lot of money, but I can, and have had discussions and tasting sessions with sommeliers and layman experts, and they are always impressed with what I have to bring. So length of time smoking means zilch.
That said, when it comes to MJ, my creds are weak too, with the exception of the fact that I have spent several hours with growers who have actually won awards for their work. And then there was the time the guys came back and we spent a good week smoking the VERY herb that won in Amesterdam while world class growers showed me what was up. I may not have as vast of knowledge, but I KNOW what world class marijuana looks, tastes and smells like.
And I would put my money where my mouth is to back that statement up. I'm always right here if anyone wants to challenge my declaration that CCF is THE spot in all of Colorado. And don't bring me ONE strain. That's great. But hitting a grand slam in the bottom of the 9th means little if you're hitting .115 with the rest of your work. What does it say about you as a grower, a supposed "professional" when you have one or two strains and the rest of your stuff is mediocre or just plain shit? I want at least 3 examples, and if I'm wrong, I'll admit it. But I know I'm not.
peace to all

I think it is important to add that in NO way, shape or form has anyone at CCF ever paid me, or boosted me, or promised me anything for me promoting them and their work. If anything, we talked about how I needed to pull back because of how my reviews may be received.
I do this for the love. The love of people who CARE about their craft. Be it MMJ, or serving a table, or fixing a car, I dig people who do it for the love. Because it ALWAYS, ALWAYS shows in their work.

^LOL Steve... I was just joking about you working there!! I definitely appreciate your taste Steve. The quality/consistency advantage at CCF is subtle... and it really doesn't become apparent until after you realize the consistency with a few trips.
Interesting about the Phoenix area... I also know a grower or two there near Tempe. They would've just been getting started about 9-10 years ago... so maybe not the same time period. A bunch of my friends moved out there after college...
Too bad you can't "medicate" in the lounges anymore man! They are stifling the recreational aspects of marijuana as best they can... no more hanging out with peeps and getting blazed in patients-only dispensaries!

Yes, it got an A+ for the Skunk #1 a few days ago which seems to now be an A after your new rating system.
How do you become a judge at the Boulder Cannabis Cup? Are there any requirements (growing experience, number of strains tried, etc.)? KR, I'm in. What do you have to lose? I'll supply my own U OGK, and as long as I can somehow sniff on a good amount of the other two herbs so that I have a chance to inspect the aroma, I won't need hardly any to actually eat and smoke/vap, and I will pay for it.
I'm not saying Bryan is God, but to say that his gear is on the lower end of the "excellent" spectrum is something that I quite frankly do not believe, so in consequence, I question all of your reviews. I'm not trying to be a jerk. Hell, it's hard for me to write that, even though I believe it to be 100% true.
And as has been discussed, there are a MILLION strains out there, and growing daily. I WANT to try them, Bryan can't grow them all by himself. I WANT to find stuff that's as good, or better, who doesn't?
And for the record, I don't think this messed up Brian's thread. If I were a newbie, I would find the kind and yet serious dialogue to be refreshing in an age where everybody seems to either scream at the top of their lungs or just says, "Fuck it/Fuck You" and quits.
For those who are working towards a better world, it will happen as long as we don't quit, but it will take work.

That's not how this ones gonna roll. There are five judges, two of which are growers, 2 of which own dispensaries (none of them have any interests in CCH,Delta9 or CCF) and one guy who seems to know his stuff. The sample will not be reviewed on looks or smell until after they have been smoked and not everyone will get the same strain on the same day. I feel this is the only fair way to do a blind test to find a true winner, and if you notice I picked an A strain and an A+ strain for the challenge.

How do we KNOW that there's no bias from your judges? Because you said there wouldn't be? Because I can trust strangers? I don't know these people. I'm FAR, FAR REMOVED from the MMJ scene, but I have to imagine that there's clicks and clubs and paths cross. Should I just take your word on it that nobody is on the take somehow or has vested interests.
And why can't I do a personal review for this board? I was right about CCF wasn't I? NOBODY told me about what kind of stuff they had. NOBODY. Everyone claims to have the fire, but few really do. I have read posts on here of people who have smoked the SAME herb from C-3 that I had just picked up, and they RAVE while I throw it away. No shit, that has actually happened. So I'm not doing it to post up in my shop, "Farmer Steve of IKNOWMOREABOUTWEEDTHANYOU.COM says our SuperGirl's Pussy is the best sativa in Denver". :(
And I'm not doing this to sell magazines or web banners on my site, and besides Bryan, I don't know another soul who's invested in the MMJ game. And even then, I probably haven't spent 1 hour speaking to him in real life. At his shop. When I was BUYING his work.
This goes WAY beyond CCF or Bryan or anything else and speaks to a bunch of other issues for me. The way I'm seeing it, you're being a hypocrite by expecting me, or anyone else to trust you, while you say "Nah, you claim CCF has the best herb in town, you're biased". WTF?
Maybe this hasn't come across, but the ONLY, the ONLY thing I am biased towards is GREAT herb. I don't play games and I don't pull punches. Why would I? Truth be told, I really like the guys at Greatful Meds, they HOOK you up for making the drive, which is beautiful and easy for me (At least they have me, and I'm not talking 4.2 1/8ths here) and their bud is SOOOO good.
Meanwhile, I LOATHE the drive down to Colfax, it's awful and out of the way, and Bryan has been generous, but NOWHERE near what GM does (and I don't blame him) and yet, and yet I am STILL at CCF every week. I'm also a father of 4 on a very tight budget. So what does that tell you? The bottom line is if I find better, I'm going to say so and then go buy it. Unless it's like that one fella who thought his herb was worth like $80 an 1/8, and even THEN, if it was THE SHIT, I'd buy it.
I have no allegiances to anyone. I care about love, art, and craftsmanship.
I was never suggesting that I be in your panel of "Unbiased" (As if there is such a thing) judges. I simply want to evaluate YOUR claims. And seemingly, I'll have to take your word for it based on a matrix of standards that you don't seem ready to live up to yourself.
What am I missing?
peace.

Man, this Diesel Dog is a LOT better than I first thought. A LOT. The first couple of days it was rather "blah" for what I usually expect from CCF, good but not great. It looked and smelled great, but it's just now that the taste has really opened up. It reminds me of the NLXSS in that respect. Amazing flavors.
My bottom line on this whole ratings thing is that it is worthless IMO, for many reasons. This isn't like wine, which is the closest archetype of judging that I can think of (and is actually a recognized testing matrix) for several reasons.
Some kind of REAL standard needs to be figured out for our situation. I stand by my assertion that there is NO way the Urkel OG is a 90-91. Because the bottom line is, in technical marks, you cannot get much better, so let's give the technical score of 98. Then you throw in subjective aspects, and those would have to be somewhere in the 80's to balance out the deserved high technical marks. No way. No way.
But in looking at it, before I go after the reviewers, I'm going to go after the scale.
I refuse to follow and believe in this grading scale. It is flawed. I am an Oenophile, and I know my palate and it's capabilities. Just because somebody grows, or has been around weed in no way makes them an acceptable judge. You can grow wine, GREAT wine even, and have a rudimentary tongue. Most people genetically are NOT going to be able to pick up what I can. I can point stuff out to some who can taste it, just as things get pointed out to me (one of the greatest joys of wine right there) BUT the bottom line is that most people won't smell what I smell or taste what I taste to the degree that I do. So almost any judging is worthless to me, and really to anyone else.
Again, I NEVER asked to be a judge at any public event. I wouldn't even do that for money. I questioned a system and was basically told, "Hey dude, you're wrong, and to prove it, we'll get this group of guys together and once again, we will TELL you what the deal is".
Because that's what's going to happen right? Once again, we will get TOLD what the deal is. And that's unacceptable.
The system is worthless and flawed and is a worthless business model. period.
Peace to you all.

I loved that diesel dawg too... it was excellent but came across very subtle in all aspects... taste, appearance, etc. Subtle but strong, like I was saying earlier...
I don't think this challenge is gonna go down anyway... not right now at least. I was in last night and Bryan didn't have any Purple OG... not sure if he saved any for this challenge as it was probably gone awhile ago. I don't care as I don't really see the point...

I have some personal urkle og, but the fact is im really not intrested in any competition. Our patients know our quality and that is why we have the reputation we do. I dont need someone to tell me that I grow high grade medicine, because my patients tell me every day. Not to mention urkle og is just another strain in the amazing line up that we maintain here @ CCF:jointsmile:

Yeah, no kidding. If we had a contest where a dispensary had to throw out 10 strains of their OWN personally grown herb and we took the composite scores and put it together, it would be like when the Broncos and Niners met in that one Super Bowl.
I was NEVER interested in a competition. I was interested in exposing flaws and inconsistencies with the whole ratings system, and I believe I did. I have to throw in here that I often have some of my SUPER educated friends read what I write and I ask them for critiques while considering the forum and audience. So when somebody says that my arguments are weak or anything to that degree, I check with those who are recognized experts in their fields, and all around brilliant people to begin with. I'm not a smart dude, but I LOVE listening to smart people. I'm comfortable with this.
All I ask for is a chance to check a person's claims. You can check mine. Weed may be subjective, and I've only been smoking the BEST on a regular basis for about 4 months, but wine is not. I'll put my pallete out there for the testing, we choose a top notch restaurant with a sommelier, and I'll taste any blind lineup of a red flight and we'll let the expert tell us what is and isn't. If the expert backs what I say about my ability to smell and taste, Dinner and a $100 bill are on me. If he says I'm bunk, it goes the other way. It's the fairest test of flavor/smell judging that I can think of. So I'll pit my money where my mouth is. I ask all who would debate to do the same. Talk is cheap.
Hey B, I'm hoping to be in on Saturday, I got ANOTHER job, and it's gone nuts. But that 2nd job just means more money for
And lampost, hit me with an email. I have some things I'd like to talk about offline. Which has nothing to do with KR or anything of that nature.
peace.

If not for yourself, do it for others. At least then other people can see what high grade medicine is SUPPOSED to look like. Hopefully the competition will cause an increase in overall quality. I think a lot of people just dont know what A+ medicine really is.

Well like I said I will be hosting the Colorado Connoisseur's Cup, I havent set a date yet, but were most likely looking at late august / early november. I dont just toss together any event, so when we plan something not only does everything come together, but its not a stress doing so.
This way we can let the patients of colorado choose. No strains will have names, everything will be labeled by a numerical and alphabetical system, and all strains will be labeled in private, so that there is no secret motives or hidden intentions. No dispensaries or growers will be allowed to advertise at or around the event.
This is purely about great medicine. Not about hype, not about names, not about promotions or anything like that, all that tends to do is dirty the fine name of cannabis.
My only intentions of putting this on (besides the fact I love to host parties) is to find strains and growers that are better than what I have or what I can do. The only reason I can cultivate the herb I do is from years of watching, learning, reading, growing, and trading genetics. I have met many life long friends at events such as these, and it is a wonderful social gathering for folks who wouldn't otherwise have met.
We will be forging on full force for the Nov. Connoisseurs Cup. Any other growers or dispensaries that are intrested can speak with me when it gets closer to date. I know id like to have 5-10 of my most prized genetics to enter, and im sure many will feel the same way.

the og is just about ready, i may bring it in today. the c99 tahoe and razz is a few days out maybe another week. sour creek = sour bubble x cripple creek. i dont grow blue dream but i can probably source a cut for ya. Clear Dome Bubble or FMCD - Full Melt Clear Dome is hash that is so clean that when a flame is put near it the hash vaporises and gets trapped in a clear dome of full melt before combusting fully and being inhaled. Hope this helps.

Feeling so good right now! Bryan, and this isn't a joke, your mom is awesome! I asked if it was as good as the Urkle she said "at least twice as good". CCF has it going on for sure.
Also, dispensaries- you should go GREEN! Give a discount to your patients who bring back their script' jars?! Well, I know it probably only saves like 25c or something but I think it's a great Idea and it's from yours truly.

Stopped in and got a sample pack tonight. I'd been 3 days without CCF gear, and even though I have had what is seemingly considered "Fire" the past few days, I once again (along with my wife) said "Wow, THIS is what I'm talking about, THIS is what marijuana should be". The looks were of course there, but who cares? The smells were awesome, and the taste, the TASTE son, the TASTE!! :smokin:
That old chick asked "Where's the Beef"? CCF's logo should be "Where's the Taste?" Because it's ALL about the taste here, and everyone should be asking now that somebody who gave their life to this a LONG time ago and has pursued it with passion to this point, WHERE is the taste? It's in dude's buds, and at his place. That's where it is.
I used to think that great weed meant a nice clean finish. Sure that was a step up from crap and mids, but when MJ can actually leave a REFRESHING taste in your mouth? Really? And I once again need to put out that I eat no High Fructose Corn Syrup, and every last bit of our household and body care products are VERY natural and I HATE the taste of ash. So to say that I smoke weed and feel like I ate an organic fresh mint is something. The air smells fresh and clean too.
But the highs are good too. :stoned: The Thai Lights I felt was a little weak, and the Strawberry cough was okay to chill, but the Sour Creek, Cotton Candy and Chem OG were very strong. I was tripping off of one hit of the creek. It was as if I hadn't been high for a while, even though I've been pounding other stuff.
Of course, this is the SAME process I go through each time I venture out to try and find something along the lines of Bryan's work. I am amazed at the taste and potency of the smoke, both in the air and in the high.
I just cannot see me going anywhere else EVER again, it's a waste. Nobody else, with the exception of a grower here or there, can maximize the potential of a strain the way Bryan can. And he does it with a TON of strains. Maybe I'm crazy and CCF isn't as good as I believe. Maybe for some odd reason, my genetic makeup picks up something Bryan uses in his grows, and it drives me wild. I don't know. But I'm thankful for it either way. I am blown away with every trip to the pipe. Every time I pick up or look at these buds, I am happy. I have dreamt of this for a while. And the more people who see it, the less for me, but I gotta speak what I feel.
But I doubt all that. Most likely we see the result of a person who has been going at it with all of his heart and must have won the admiration of the highest levels of the growing world to one degree or another, or where would he get his genetics? It really must suck for him. He MUST know others are jealous of his potential lineup, although he would most likely NEVER say such a thing, but what should he do, pretend like his work is on par with the others? How is that honorable? Dude needs to keep it up. Truth is proven correct by her children.

Sooooooo, I am opening a review site that will compete with kindreviews. Reviews will be unbiased (we will be paying for the herb we test and not letting dispensaries know we are reviewing untill after the reviews have been posted) and everyone will be happy with the great amount of detail, the more than just tricomb shots and we'll be featuring many per... never mind, I shouldn't give it all away :D "We" may do lab tests eventually but that's not our main concern. Currently we are doing tons of reviews, and will start coding the site this week. Then the Website will open in roughly 2 months from now... I'm so fucking excited :)

This Sour Creek makes me and my loved one trip. No shit. And the Cotton Candy is very, very tasty, but I can't judge the high as I've been blazed each time I've gotten to it.
And I LOVE that OG/Chem. Top 7 for sure.
It's going to get to where I'll have to have a top 25 for CCF's strains.
Again, if there's as good or better out there, let me know you all. I have now, and I have ALWAYS understood how my pom-poming affects my credibility, but it's the PURE truth as I see it. And taste it.
BTW,

Do you have any sativa dominant in house strains coming in? Anything over 90% sativa, if you guys grew it, I want to reserve some! Sorry just a random question and thought I had. Also, I don't know if your train wreck is in house but I liked that- didn't love it but liked it a lot- I'm just looking for something more uplifting. I can't believe I'm of all people asking for less dankness. I just brought in some Sour Diesel x Cannalope Haze. 70% Sativa. Tastes like sweet lemons, fresh cannalope and a slight fuel underhint. Great uplifting cerebral high. Bright green color and covered in trichomes. I highly reccomended it.

I agree 100%. I'd have to put it against other strains, but like I said earlier, your mouth tastes GOOD after you hit this one. The Chem 91 alone is very good, but it's as if the minty flavor of the Chem piggy backs on the spicy base of the SFV OG and stretches out the experience far longer.
Amazing stuff.

Some business came up today and I don't think I'm going to be able to make it down tonight for that eighth. Is this a problem because I'm wondering if you can hold on to that until this Friday evening around 5? I need that chem x OG- I'm addicted lol ;):jointsmile: it's so nice!
Also, I've also got two friends who just got their card (err paperwork) and they want me to show them my "favorite spot" friday night. I'm thinking about taking care of two birds with one stone- getting that split eighth and bringing them to CCF!
Let me know man- I hope you still have some of that CHEMxOG kush :(
Peace out

I'm gonna try to bring my patient by tomorrow and hopefully between the two of us we'll be able to at least do a 1/2. Times are tough right now, but I gotta get something nice to make sure I don't go through all my herb before it's properly dried and cured!!

Nice! Let us know how it turns out. I got a seed in the Chem '91 that looks viable. Who knows what pollinated it... I guess self-pollination would be ok... wouldn't that mean a higher probability of female?
Unfortunately won't be able to pop it for awhile!

 Hello to new and old friends of CCF, my name is Larry. I am the new owner of Colorado Care Facility, and I would like to 1st get a few questions answered about what transpired, and who we are. Debbie and her son Brian sold CCF to me on April 5th, 2010. Debbie and Brian ran one of the best Dispensaries in Denver, and that is undisputed! I had wanted to open a dispensary since early 2008, but I had a hard time finding a location. We approached Debbie last March, and found that she was interested in selling her dispensary, so that she could return to S. Cali. I was so excited to find a dispensary that was so nicely set up, and had such a good reputation in Denver. We have approached running CCF with the mind set of "if it aint broke don't fix it"! I feel like we have tried to add the best strains, at the best prices. I also understand, and agree that our prices were a bit high. This is simply a reflection of the expenses that I had to incurr from buying Debbieā??s inventory, and the obvious expense of buying the shop. However we realize that we need to respond when patient of CCF, let us know how they feel. We have responded by changing our prices, and not only on our smoke, but on our edibles as well. We openly invite any and every one to please visit us and let us know what we can do to make CCF the best dispensary in Central Denver, or even in Denver. My staff and I are not new to small biz, but are new to running a dispensary, my son Andy, worked in a Cali dispensary for nearly 2 years, and we have retained Haley, who worked for Debbie for the past 6 months as well. We are striving to not only bring new patients to CCF, but to bring any one, who visited CCF prior to me buying it from Debbie back to see that we are doing all that we can, and will continue to meet the highest standards that a dispensary can! If you have questions, or want to suggest anything to me or my staff, we can be reached at the #'s and addresses below.

Of course the answer here is that CCF rocked because Brian had some of the best genetics you can get and he grew them in the most artful and healthy manner possible. Even though his vendors were good, I would never in my life drive down there to get vendor stuff. There's no reason to.

These strains come from our grow room in Colorado. So the invitation stands.

Hi Larry.
Its true you can choose phenos from seedlines and select clones that are all "top!" Still though, flower time and yield will be different between those plants. Pricing structure is based accordingly at some shops (very few in the denver area atm.)
I haven't been in your shop, I'll keep my mind open though. :rastasmoke:

For our Organic strains we use bannana manna, and root organics trinity.
For our Hydro we use humbolt nutrients, master A&B flowering mix, and american hydroponics dark energy.
For info on our grow, our grow is featured in "Modern Cannabis Times" issue #2 - Jan / Feb 2010, you may also be able to just google that , or google

This is a product that was first introduced by the previous owner's of CCF. The price that she listed it for was $25.00 per .25 GRAMS! We just recently procured some of this fine product, and I have no problem letting folks know that we pay $20 per .25 GRAM for this product, and we make barely 20% when we sell it? We bought this product as favor to our patients who had asked for it by name. Yes $25.00 per .25 GRAM is not the usual here at CCF, but we aim to please our patients, and if that means eating it on the profit to do so then we will!
Thanks,
Larry @ CCF:):smokin:
