Hello...I am relocating to Colorado and have several illnesses. I want to obtain a Medical Marijuana card and find a caregiver in the Colorado Springs area.
I now live in the NY area and have been treating myself with marijuana for many years. I am confused about how to go about getting the card without getting ripped off or where to start looking for a doctor or caregiver.
Marijuana prices from these dispenseries is higher than I pay now, $100 a half ounce of nice weed, nothing special but good.

I would like to know if anyone can recommend a clinic or doctor to get started, what kind of medical documentation is really required and most important ....PLACES TO AVOID.
Marijuana relieves many of my symtoms and it has been a real pain hooking up regularly here.....I am happy that there are states I can get my medication in peace.

Please advise how to get started when I arrive. I have read that I should not sign any contracts limiting my purchasing to one place as that is unnecessary.
Any info is greatly appreciated...than you.

Hi friend, welcome to Colorado and good luck with your move! Because I live in Denver, I haven't had any sufficient time study Colorado Springs to find out where to go to get certification and which dispensaries/caregiver options you have, but I'm sure many of the good folks here can point you in the right direction.

Some caregivers will provide great perks, including free medicine, so really shop around. It might be difficult at first to find someone who provides great medicine at a price that is fair to you, but wait long enough and you'll find a match. It took me a few months, so don't get discouraged. There might be programs out there at certain dispensaries that assist people with either financial needs or have serious illnesses.

There are some very good options in the Denver area if you are interested.

As far as the process goes for getting your certification...I don't believe you have to live here any certain period of time to qualify, but don't quote me on that.

Anyhow, I think Co Springs is a beautiful, peaceful city and I hope you make some good friends here!

Ok, that was a preemptive welcome, but here in CO, we do it right. :) I am a registered caregiver in Colorado Springs, and also a dispensary owner. We operate a little differently from other dispensaries, but I want to assure you our heart is for our patients, not getting rich. We have a variety of medicine at a variety of prices, but nothing over $55 for 1/8th oz. I have friends in NY, similar product would go for around $85 in the City. I won't promise you the world, but I'm sure we can find a suitable product for you at a fair price. We also assist medically qualified persons in obtaining their MMJ card. Please feel free to stop in when you get here- 1402 W Colorado Ave, Co Springs, 80909

I think they meant it would go for that in New York City, not the Springs:)
