12 confirmed dead as military police respond to Ft. Hood active shooter (http://www.policeone.com/active-shooter/articles/1962502-12-confirmed-dead-as-military-police-respond-to-Ft-Hood-active-shooter/)

It's unclear exactly what happened because reports vary on the details but this must be very worrying for all the US people.

It's really sad... The scary thing is this wasn't just any private. It was a Major. I was talking to a couple friends who are currently on active duty earlier today. One of them who is currently in Iraq was saying this is a prime example of how medical and psych care for soldiers needs to be re-looked at and de-stigmatized. Many soldiers don't seek help or aren't able to while serving because it's frowned upon and if they are seen as mentally unstable they can be discharged. Being discharged can be a huge worry for those whom the military is really all they have going for them.

An Army Psychologist and muslim convert about to be deployed to Baghdad.

A terrible tragedy, my familys thoughts and prayers are for the victims and their loved ones.

These brave people deal with more than any of us. Thank you.
