I was reading up on white widow and wanted to get some feedback about this:
White Widow feminized seeds are (60%/40%) indica/sativa cross-strain and is best appropriate to indoor cannabis farming. Our feminized seeds produce as far above the ground as 35-80 cm with the yield up to 450 gr per m2. It's optional to flower (12 hour light) this marijuana variety for 8 weeks, but 10 weeks will actually give you the crystals you are following. Try to turn the light off in total the final 2 weeks of the flowering cycle- or at least down to 8 hours. This keeps the flowers from re-growth and stresses the plant into giving up its last drop of goodness as gemstone to defend the flower! The buds have so a great deal THC on them that it is hard to see them at all.
The main part i was wondering about was the 2 weeks of total darkness...does anyone do that and does it work?

yeah a lot of people leaves the lights off for the last few days. i leave em off for 3 days and then pull them out.i get impatient and usually pull a plant to trim and there is a difference is cristal production.

With White Widow, you're probably not going to notice much of a difference in trichome production because there's going to be a shitload of trichs at ten weeks! It's one of my favorite strains to grow and smoke, but be careful... she packs a punch! :stoned:
As for the darkness, I've tried a few days darkness before harvesting, and again, never really could tell much of a difference... mostly because the buds are literally snow-white by that time anyway. I'd be wary of trying it a full two weeks before the final chop, but that's just me. Have fun and good luck!

If there is so many trichs on the leaves...should the leaves be smoked as well?

What you do with the leaf is a matter of choice. I use it as a filler for joints because I don't use tobacco.

I've never used a filler...all weed.
I was thinking of making butter or cookies.

I had to turn off the overhead HPS, it was causing lines in the photo. There is just a CFL lighting up these pics.

He don't talk English not so good but he knows his weed. He simply meant to say no light the final two DAYS (not weeks). He means to say 2 days or at least 8 hours of lights out at the end. I've heard this "theory" before, I guess it sounds like it couldn't hurt.

looks like you have about 4-6 weeks left. Are you sure this is a white widow strain?

I've always preferred leaves in joints. They seem to burn super even. I guess I've never used a grinder, though. Always picked buds apart by hand. Cooking is a good idea, too.

leaves are great for making canna butter. that's all you need is the leaves and stems...then you can have some great edibles to enjoy. I have a ton of people that dont smoke the ganja but LOVE to eat it!
yeah, i'm pretty sure you meant 2 days not 2 weeks of darkness....I did it my last harvest and did notice a difference in bud density....i kept everything off for 72 hours before cutting them.
