McDonnell wins in Va.; Christie takes lead in NJ - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_election_rdp)

People can say what they choose, but Washingtom poured alot of capital and cash into these states. Obama carried Virginia by 6 pts 1 years ago. New Jersey is as blue a state as they come. People can do the math.

Depends on how you look at it. A house seat isn't an executive position whereas a governor is. A governor has more say over a larger group of people whereas the house rep only represents a portion of the people in the state.

True.

New York 23 was NOT about winning that seat even if it woulda been nice, it was to remove a FAKE republican. That lady Scozzafa was in no way, shape, or form a republican by anyones standard. And she had to go. Bill Owen (who broke all four campaign promises in ONE hour) is just a seat filler who will be soundly defeated in less than a year. This is an ideological battle now, not a repub or dem. Capitalist conservatives versus socialist liberals. And the conservatives are winning.
