I think the problem is deeper then just driving cars. We have had glaciers in the North Artic for thousands and thousands of years, and they are predicted to be gone in the summer months 25-30 years from now. I think we have contributed to the warming of the Earth. I mean, it only seems logical if more gas is released into the atmosphere then what is naturally supposed to occur. If I fill a bowl of water with water already in it, it is going to eventually over fill itself. That's just my 2 cents :)

And to put it in an even simpler statement, its about not being so ignorant and using so much energy. Now, even though people here use TONS of energy, rather saying stopping it all together, the green movement is more towards using more efficient light sources and fixtures. Honestly the MOST green thing to do would be to have a greenhouse to grow in, but due to not everyone having their MMJ card, that is not possible yet. But rather than saying what we do is horrible and we are going to ruin everything by poisoning the world, thats all BS. LEED, the major green movement/organization in architecture, is not about stopping to do everything, but just to do so more energy efficiently. Not using stuff that uses unneeded(looks so weird spelled out) energy when there are much more energy efficient devices. I agree that we should still try to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels even if global warming is bullshit. Which I don't think it is. Everyone probably got too ahead of themselves and got a little paranoid, but I still think we are contributing to it. CO2 in the atmosphere traps heat, that's obvious. We produce C02 with almost everything we use, so there is obviously going to be more in the atmosphere. Methane also does the same, water particles etc.

The earth has been naturally going through cycles of warming and cooling long before we spewed our garbage all over the place. Global warming has occurred in the past as have ice ages. To what extent people are responsible is the question. Do we have some effect? Probably. To what extent? Who the F knows. To figure that out you would need a control to compare and we don't have one. i think the next few years are going to be intresting when it comes to our government. lies are being uncovered all the time. with the audit the fed bill passing through congress too, this will all help to uncover what some conspiritors have been saying for years.

ive heard all this from a nasa scientist Dr. Roy Spencer (http://www.drroyspencer.com/) who said the earth goes on 30 year cycles, and he was one of the first people to report on gores false graphs. but these 30 year cycles of warming and cooling are influened by the ocean currants.

In his climate models, he said there was global warming. but not near the degree that others were saying. as he predicted, we are now going into a cooling cycle. remember in the 70's when we were going into the next iceage? this was due to climate change from CO2 supposibly cooling the planet.

However, considering the recent climategate showing the leading scientists in the global warming movement knowingly hiding information showing cooling trends and cooking the books on YEARS AND YEARS of statistical information, you base your knowledge on what exactly? If CO2 is contributing to global warming now as they say, because it's at it's highest levels for 650,000 years or whatever, has any research been done to plot the greenhouse effect of CO2 against concentration? Clearly the evidence shows that in the past it has not been a driving force in the cllimate, however the anthropogenic climate change camp state that it now does have a significant effect, citing the fact that there is more in the atmosphere.

Has anyone ever performed a straightforward laboratory experiment that shows the greenhouse effect of CO2 increasing exponentially above a certain point, say 300ppm?
