So I'm thinking of growing some mid range quality stuff (like chronic?) outside. The only problem is that I've heard that the plant requires a lot or at least a good amount of humidity. I live in Arizona (which is total desert) humidity is about 20% on a good day. Will this effect my yield. Thanks for the help!

This could effect your yield, or almost certainly. However, the plants will still grow, will still flower, just might have some effects on the quantity.
I have grown in very dry climates with great success though. Also, just look at how much they grow in the middle east, and I can't think of a dryer place, but I may be wrong.

You'd want between 40 and 50% humidity during flowering. More during veg, usually.
