Your Equipment:
.1) Type and wattage of lights. (MH, HPS, CFL's, tube fluorescents, LED's) - 1,000 watt HPS

.2) Distance from tops? - 3 feet

.3) Reflector type? (cool tube set-up, bat wing, enclosed reflector, bare bulb...) - radiant hood (open)

.4) Is there a consistent fresh air supply? - intake is hooked up to controller, holding temp at 75 F. clicks on every 10 min for at least 10 min.

.5) Do you have an exhaust fan and a circulation fan? no exhaust fan, yes circulation fan

.6) What are the bulb wattages, kelvin ratings, and schedule? schedule is 12/12

Your medium:
.7) Specific brand and type of soil, (coco, peat based soilless...) and anything you've added to it. (vermiculite, perlite, worm castings...) Sunshine #4, nothing added

.8) Size of container. - 20 gal

.9) Did you use peat pucks (or similar) to root clones or germinate seedlings? rooted into rockwool cubes

Your nutrients and water:
10) Source of water? (tap, bottled or filtered) What's it's ph before adjusting? - tap water @ ph 8.0, once nutes are added, comes down to ph 5.8. use ph up to get it to 6.3.

11) Method of checking water ph. (ph pen, test strips, aquarium test kit...) - pen

12) Method of adjusting water ph. (phosphoric acid, white vinegar, hydrated lime, PH Up...) Hydrofarm liquid ph up/down

13) Specific brand and N-P-K ratio for each bottle. List dosages (quantity per gallon) and current feeding schedule. I use general hydroponics, micro:6ml/gal, grow:4ml/gal, bloom:12ml/gal

14) How often are you watering between feedings, and how much per watering? Water about 3 - 5 gallons, every 4 days or so, as needed, making sure substrate dries appropriately.

15) Any additives or tea's? (Superthrive, CalMag, molasses, Mother's Earth...) hormex, 5ml per gallon + hygrozyme, 5ml per gallon

16) Are your ph levels stable, or do they fluctuate? stable

17) What is your ingoing water's ph? ...your runoff ph? ingoing = 6.3, runoff unknown.

18) Do you foliar feed? If so, with what, how often, and at what time do you spray? no

Your growroom:
19) Indoors or outdoors? indoor

20) What size of closet, room or hut? 20' x 12'

21) What are the temps and humidity levels while lights are on? ...With lights off? high / low 69F

22) Have you seen signs of insects in the growroom? none

Your strain:
23) What strain are you growing? (Indica dominate or Sativa dom?) blueberry

24) From seeds or clones? clones

Leaves curling downward usually indicates overfeeding. I've never grown in soil so I can't be of much more assistance.

some information i should have added:
I flipped these to 12/12 on October 13. Started watering with micro:5ml/gal, grow:4ml/gal, bloom:12ml/gal, On Oct 18 (so happy i keep a grow journal w/ full details, just for this reason) i increased the micro to 6ml/gal. Not much of an increase from 25ml to 30ml per 5 gallons, but thought it would be important to note here.

Noticed leaf clawing on October 24.

Yesterday I added 2.5 gallons of clean water (plus 5ml/gal of hygrozyme) @ ph 6.3. I did the same today as well, soil seemed dry and light. i intend to water without nutes for the next couple of waterings. not sure if this will be a solution.

I've read that clawed leaves will not correct in their deformity. How will I know when it is safe to begin adding nutrients again?

more info: While the picture I attached seems pretty drastic, the majority of the plant is thriving. Seems that the clawed leaves are bud leaves, while the fan leaves are all healthy. More drastic on lower growth. The color in the pictures is not accurate, the leaves are all green and look healthy in color (aside from clawing). Tips and edges are not burnt, and they are not dry or breaking.

I'd say the clean waterings are a good idea. In my experience in hydro, the curled leaves will be consumed by the plant and dry up rather than return to normal. Just be sure to watch the new growth. Hopefully a dirt grower can give you more help than I have been able to provide.

Hmmmm... if it's just one area of the plant I would look very closely for some type of infestation under the leaves. Could be mites or similar critters that suck the juice from your leaves.

it's not just one area, it is found throughout the plant.

they are definately bug free, 100% without question.

I tested the runoff: 6.3 going in, 5.2 coming out.

I've never used sunshine #4 substrate, I've always grown hydro w/ rockwool and hydroton. A friend of mine that has used #4 for years told me to treat is as hydro because it is not actually a soil. Does anyone have any experience with this substrate?

Any advice is welcome, thanks!

Not much advice yet, but I've still been going with no nutes.

On my strawberry cough, i am noticing some leaf yellowing starting in the veins. On larger top leaves. is this a deficiency?

hey skitze, i have the same problem only with hydro. I still haven't been able to figure it out exactly but it seems to be ph related as far as i can tell. had to get a new meter even to be sure. haven't seen the leaves correct yet but i would love to know exactly what it is! Have you discovered anythign new at any other boards? i haven't seen much yet.. anyway, good luck and I hope your ladies are doin well!
