So I've been working a steady month as a Security Guard for ABM Security. A nation wide company. The only downfall there is working for the company is they do random drug tests. I've only been drug tested once to obtain the job. Now I find it hard that they'll do another drug test for no apparent reason, I feel it more upon if I or anyone was to screw up that would give them a real reason to make myself or someone else take a drug test.
I've been clean for two months straight and I've been jonesin for a joint! But with my luck I don't want to smoke being under the impression that the next day I might end up being called in to take a random test!
I won't go into a deep discussion as to what will happen if I was to be caught dirty.. I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm going insane!!! :yippee:
Man oh man, the world we live in :(
Anyways I miss coming around and communicating with everyone who I've talked too. This job has taken a lot of my free time and freedom as a human being, so that is the reason as to why most of you have not seen my avatar floating around in almost every thread and post :D
Well get back in touch if you willing too! I hope you all are doing swell.

Have any of your co-workers been surprised by a random drug test? I worked a few jobs where I had an initial test I prepared for. But threats of random drug testing have never been carried through on me or co-workers even though they said it was a policy they had. Snoop around a bit:thumbsup:

Well I'll go into some description about my job.
My local company is located out in Phoenix Arizona. I live in Mesa Arizona which is about an hour drive away from the main office building. Where I work is located out in Apache Junction about and hour and a half away from Phoenix. The supervisor(s) hasn't came out to where I work out at for over a year, thats what the other security officer had told me during training. The only time I associate with any of my employers or employees is when I'm picking up my pay check or if I have any questions which is hardly ever and thats usually just a phone call that I make or they make. I work alone Wednesdays - Sundays. I don't see anyone from work. But it's just a simple phone call to me for them to ask me to take a drive down to take a drug test then the tested information is faxed to my work.
I can't really find anyway to find anything out to be honest and I don't want to seem suspicious by asking anything regarding the drug tests or any other employee because words get around easy these days. I also can't contact any other employee because I don't have their number and I don't know of anyone too personal to have the will to call.
I feel as if this will end up like my last job I had last year. My last job never drug tested me and I stayed clean for almost 4 months because I never knew when they were going to. Then I was laid off and after I was it came to me that I could have smoked that whole entire time but I had no idea and didn't want to risk losing the job. As the same goes for this one, I'm trying to build up good job history because I never have had a good one. Once I move out of state I want to make a resume and show that I have a steady job life so that I can get a one easier where I'm moving soon so I don't have any trouble trying to get one.

Hey Johnny! It's been a long time eh? How have you been?
Yeah it sure is a cool name but the city isn't so swell.. Drugs, White trash Nazi's, Hookers.. you get the idea haha. Watching two construction companies in the middle of the desert just about knowing that there are Meth addicts willing to steal anything for money for more Meth isn't a good feeling but so far in the past month nothing has happened yet
And I don't plan on hoping that anything does! :D

I feel your pain Kyle. im in ROTC (army), and went from smoking twice a day to none at all because i hear we get random drug tests (rarely but it happens); and if i fail a drug test i wont be able to pursue my intended career in the army. This is driving me crazy considering im only a freshman and have 3 more years to go. there really isnt a reason to this post, i just needed to vent and wanted to let u know your not alone... Good luck
