I'd like to split this 10x10 bedroom into two sections, I don't want to have to drill a bunch of holes in the walls etc. I read somewhere about some of that tear down walls, Something light proof. Ideally i'd like one side flowering, the other vegging/mothers. If anyone knows of a kind of material, or can suggest an alternative please do let me know.

I have a growroom in a attic and I have the flowering and vegging rooms blocked off with black plastic. Black painters plastic is cheap, and if you seal all the edges with tape it is completely light proof.
In your case you could use two pieces of plastic and leave a flap in the middle so you could get in or out.
I line the inside of the black plastic and all of the walls with mylar, so i get better light reflection.
You need to make sure that the rooms are completely light sealed, or else you can run into problems.

if you have a 10x10 make 2 5x5 flowering rooms and the rest dedicated to vegging them you can crop every 4 weeks

a. panda plastic (black / white) stapled to wood frame
b. Reflectix (stuff like automobile dashboard sun-reflecting-things are made of) can stand on its own.
Cheers, Hermie

Aluminized furnace duct tape ( not "duck" tape) works well, lightproof also.

hey hermie, have you used the panda plastic?
i was thinking about using it for an attic, but i'm gonna have to run A/C. i know it's not insulated, but will it work well enough?
not trying to thread jack nickdev.

well i u have any construction experience i would say buy a few 2x4's and only zip your top bean into the ceeling.then drill studs into the 2x4 u just installed and hang panda film on both sides if u want insulation.keep in mind i u seperate your room your going to want 2 over lap several pieces.just having one piece hanging with velcro or a tarp zip up u will still see the light. i have a sheet of pands film then hung infront of that a black tarp with 2 zippers and a secret door and the light still peers through from time to time
HEADSHAKE! panda film will hold some cool air for a short perriod of time,it is pretty thick i think like 8 or 10 mil if u want keep the cool air in u can also add some verry cheap insulation.u can use r-134 insulation foam.its pretty handy.its sold at home depot in the roofing department.it comes in sturdy sheets u can cut to size.the largest sheet is 3 inches thick and 5x10 but they come in many sizes.i use a 4x8 sheet on my floor in my g/r because the floor is concrete.

has anyone tried solar board ? the bland ex with reflective backing. i have been in houses that are under construction that have the solar board for roof decking and it reflects a lot of light.

You should watch the I grow Bud 1-9 on youtube. I shows what drudown was talking about. The guy in the video really has some pretty cool ideas. I would suggest watching it. I learned a lot from it since I am a first timer.

I have a 17x17 garage dry walled. I just put studs up in the cieling and placed on floor. Then I drilled into wall with stud and spaced along 4 ft and 2ft extra one side. Basically I built an L shape wall and used existing walls, floor and ceiling. I caulked all seams and painted with flat white paint top to bottom. I sprayed floor corners for potential future pests let sit for a couple days then washed floor mildly rinsed well with mop and after dried I tacked in 6 mil plastic 4 times and put molding around floor perimeter. Just put (3) 4 is better 1000 watters and its a great flower room.
