Sexing Mother Plants

I want to sex my mother plants. Can I clone them and then immediatly put them on the 12 hour light regimen? Does it matter how tall or mature they are before they'll show pistols in the bloom stage? I just want to know which mother plants are female so I can pull the males and stop wasting space.

i would say 7 days from root formation-sooo about 2 to 2 1/2 weeks from the day it was taken.

so clone them and keep them under the 18/6 light and after the roots form then go ahead and change the lights to 12/12?

yup aftete roots form,give them one more week of light "so technically they would be 2 weeks old" then start the 12/12 u wont get much but u will be able to tell sex.

making your clones grow good roots should not be overlooked. You can put a nute gel on the roots when you clone. If you use it or not put it in a dark place and keep the leafs mosit but not mold. after 3 weeks in the dark a root system will have hopefuly been made
