Hello

My first grow and ithought i would post it and see if you guys can give any help and advice along the way.

I will be growing 5 Skunk #11 (Dutch Passion feminised Skunk #1) and 4 World of Seed White Rhino feminised

Equipment:

Flowering:
Secret Jardin 1x1x2 dark room (not the street version)
400w HPS
125mm extractor fan and carbon filter
6" revolving fan
BioBloom
Vegging:
Secret Jardin 0.6x0.6x1.6 dark room (not street version)
250w Fluorescent blue spectrum
Biogrow
Soil:
Cana Terra Pro in 6l pots (seemed small but grow shop man said they do the full lifecycle (there are 11l ones available if too small))

The seeds are soaking in water and starting to sprout and i will then plant them in the veg tent.

The plan is to have them in there for 4 weeks before transferring them into flowering tent. Then they flower away until skunk #1 is ready to harvest and a couple of weeks later the White Rhino.

I may hold back one skunk #1 in flowering to create mother and there is another white rhino seed which will go in for vegging to be a mother when the all go in to flowering.

Is there anything glaringly obvious I am doig wrong?? Any suggestions?? I will post pics all along the way.

Cheers

So, they have all sprouted out of the seed and I have planted them in the beautiful soil. I have included pics of the equipment. The flowering tent has some plants in it that were given by a neighbour when they were young. They were outside but winter is coming and it was rude to eave them out in the cold:

After 2 weeks from seed they are starting to grow properly:
2 weeks in picture by megatek - Photobucket (http://s965.photobucket.com/albums/ae137/megatek/?action=view&current=15weeks.jpg)

A quick question - we are using biobizz grow and bloom and were going to use them seperately but the biobizz feeding chart suggests using grow all the way through veg and flowering - is this correct?

We are using Canna ProfessionalPlus soil.

Damn, what a nice setup for the first grow, and nice looking plants. I'm sure it will turn out well. *Subscribes

This is 4 and a half weeks from being put in the soil. They are all doing well but noticeable size difference. This pic is taken in the larger 1mx1m tent and I think I may switch over to flowering this weekend.

Which grow tent is that?

Its the Secret Jardin 1x1x2 dark room (not the street version). The light cycle has just changed to 14 on and qo off which will run for a week to ease them in to the 12 x 12.

Here are the newest pics. I have taken one of each variety in to the smaller vegging tent as i will take clones for the next round of flowering.

This leaves 7 plants in the flowering tent. They have had the flowering cycle for about a week now and they have really shot up. Using bio bloom and grow 2ml per litre and 2ml per litre for this week. The humidity has really risen so i may have to increase extraction times too.

Here are the latest pics and they are about a month away from being ready. The skunks have grown pretty large (about 180cm) but the rhinos are a good height and i am really pleased with how they are looking - budding well, thick stems, good vertical "pillar like£ growth with heavy buddage and a lovely smell!

2 of the skunks have grown past the light (it is at its highest in the 2m tent!) - I don't know if this is normal or if they were too hot but the proof of the pudding is in the smoking. I have started adding Top Max in to the flowering feed so that they have a healthy alance of micronutrients. I have also picked up some Cheese by Greenhouse Seeds which i will get ready to go straight in the flowering tent when these are done.

Anyway, time for the pics:

A selection of photos of better quality than my phone! I still had to shrink them down to about 500kb from 5MB but they should do the trick.

I love checking out that skunk!
Everytime I stand on my dinning chair trying to snap a photo of the ladies overhead I stare so much trying to get a good pic I just about fall over! My tallest is 5ft something so its getting too much of a hassle to even move her out of the box. But aren't they fun when their young! are you using the macro setting on your cam?

Nice plants my man:thumbsup: i have some Skunk#1 going too, i think? The seeds were mixed so could be Haze#5, or a cross of the two. I sure wish i could tell the difference in them, so i know whats what. Im sure after they finish it will be easier. Good luck:jointsmile:

You can see the door on one of those skunks and its nearl at that height. I am about 186cm and the tallest is taller than me in the pot and the buddiest is just a bit smaller than me! I have been realy impressd with how the good skunks have grown - lots of buds, lovely slender arms with bud topped fingers! Some of the other skunks just havent filled out as much yet - there is still about 3-4 weeks though so fingers crossed.

With regards to my camera, I am not sure what setting it is on I think its just its standard "intelligence" setting - I wil have to look in to that for the next round of piccies.

We have also started foliar feeding today after a trip to the grow shop. The guy there was saying he can't believe how many people don't use it. Going keep using it at bedtime up until last week or so when we start flushing. For the foliar feeding we are using Agent Wet and Mist Galore.

I will get some close up shots of the skunks that havent filled out yet and if anyones got any good tips on how o make them beef up a bit ...

I have got rid of quite a few leaves to give the lower buds a chance to get some light and to also help reduce the humidity and help air flow. hopefully I haven't stressed the ladies out too much!

I have also started grow number two in the veg tent. More details are here:

Having some camera issues so bear with me on the macro shots.

Its 7 weeks in to flowering, the rhinos, I have read will take about 9 weeks but was expecting 8 on the skunks. One of them has really fat beautiful full buds with about 40% of the hairs browned. The rest of the skunks are a LOT less dense and although they have got a lot of buds on them I fear hat when they are dry they will be pretty lame.

They have all crystaled well but I don;t know what to do about the poor performing skunks. Will they fatten right up on the last week? Will they need more time?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Well I couldn't wait and had a bit of Saturday surgery!

I stripped all the leaves off the Skunks for their last week or so and flushing has begun as well. A lot of foliage came out and hopefully there should be much better air flow and ALL the buds will be able to get some of the light without leaves in the way. The Rhinos have been left alone and they have much more space and light for their last fortnight.

With all the leaves off I now get a good idea about the amount of crop. The skunks have all produced a lot of buds but as I have mentioned earlier there is only one that look like it will be a beautiful smoke. At least I wont have to be buying any weed for a bit!

meglatron
01-19-2010, 10:46 PM
One plant down.

I harvested the worst of the skunk - the bud is really awful and I thought that the extra room would be more beneficial to the other plants allowing more bud to be exposed and hopefully giving a boost to the rest of the plants.

I will put up a smoke report on this bud when it is ready but I am not expecting much. It may be alright to smoke but quantity will be way down. The best skunk is still on track to be harvested this weekend with the rhinos about a week or so later. I may hold back some of the skunks to give them a bit more ooompf!
