Ive been debating on stopping smoking for about 7 days as to bring my tolerance back down...ive been smoking everyday for quite some time now and although i always love getting high...i miss the more "intense" qualities that smoking weed used to have...such as the nights of histerical laughter, or the "mild shroom like" effects. My question is this...do you think that taking this break will make it to where i will get these effects again...or do i simply need to accept the facts that this only happens the first handful of times that you smoke pot...and that marijuana isnt THAT powerful of a "psychedelic"

Pretty sure it's all about tolerence man... At least that's the experience I've had with it from not smoking for about four days while in Vegas etc
And I just had a tonsil abcess where I couldn't even eat for four days let alone smoke and I'm just now able to a little bit and I'm getting some pretty trippy highs.:jointsmile:

For me it works this way, Ive smoked daily for years, if I take a break for a week I get stoned in a totally different way, much like my first few times, its completely trippy and euphoric.
However I only feel like this the first and maybe second time coming back after a break, the third time its just like my body remembers again

I reckon you should have a weeks' break every so often to lower tolerance and then the first smoke feels kinda special

hmmm this is really weird i wonder if something is wrong with me.heres the deal i can smoke every day and be lit "usually just fall a sleep" after 3 days of not smoking motor skills are totally gone.however if i stop smoking for longer than 2 weeks i will not under any circumstance get high.i wonder if my receptors in my brain are messed up.started smoking when i was 12 and im 24 now.any one else like this?

I took about a month and a half long break earlier this summer, for mutiple reasons. When I came back to it, my tolerance was like I was 12 again. It was great... You don't have to stop a month but even like a week will help. It's nice to take a break every so often.. clear the head, clear the system, drop the tolerance, and get a whole new appreciation when you start back up. If you feel your tolerance is too high and you're burning more weed then you get out of it. Take a break.

well thank you everyone for your replies...they have motivated me to take a break...even if its only for 5 days. I have taken breaks before and i do remember the high being a lot better after coming back from the break..but its hard for me to remember HOW much better it was since its been so long. Anyways....without further ado....i welcome you to day 1

this may be a little late...but id like to let everyone know that i took a break for 5 days and then smoked again, and the high was pretty damn amazing, it was even visual, everything looked really sparkly...and it seemed to last a lot longer than normal. taking breaks is definitely something i need to start doing more regularly, all things in moderation

it is pretty sweet...and i hope to take more frequent breaks, id even like to quit for a month to see if its an even BIGGER difference. it changes it from just another ordinary high to an EXPERIENCE, there is also MUCH more euphoria...almost to the point where you say....damn, i forgot you could get this high...i missed the days where it made everything look mildly cartoony, emphasis on the word mild though. anyways, i hope this motivates more everyday smokers to take that ever so needed break once in awhile....remember, if you smoke EVERY day, you cant enjoy weed to its fullest potential on ANY day, reguardless of how much you smoke or the quality
