So I have a Purple Kush clone that is only growing single leaves and is producing resin in veg. I touched the resin and smelled it and it smells like the PK buds did last year. Very weird.
She is the last remaining clone I had from a huge mother that died. I had her in DWC but she started getting some minor root rot so I trimmed the rotted roots and threw her in an E&F setup, as I figured it would be easier to manage my garden when my new clones root and would give this PK clone's roots more air.
Since then, the other newer roots that hadn't rotted have turned brown and shriveled up, and the plant has had no new growth at all. Is this baby basically dead or what is the deal here?
If you need pics let me know.

Does anyone have any insight? If some of you are looking for my system stats, they are the same as they have always been. E&F with 4" net pots, 1" rockwool cube surrounded by hydroton. Currently feeding tap water at 350 PPM plus 200 PPM of PBP Grow. Water temp around 68°, air temps around 78°. CFL's for lighting. Fans galore and plenty of exhaust and intake. Someone's gotta be able to tell me something! :(

I'm having the same issue with the plants having 3 and 1 leaflets as if they are stuck in weird bloom. I theorize that the clones were cut while the mother had progressed too far into bloom, and therefore the incorrect RNA is being expressed. I plan to ride out my deformed clones (now 6 weeks old) to the harvest for sciences sake.
If your tap water is over 200 ppm you should be using a hard water specific nutrient.
Anyone who knows more please respond.

Thanks for the reply iGrow27. I decided to raise the lights and lower the intensity to a smaller bulb, and I also switched to a 24 hour light schedule and new roots are beginning to pop out all over the place. I am hoping that after a couple weeks, normal growth will resume.
Last year, the mother Purple Kush plant from two generations ago as this current one got really bad root rot and fell entirely limp and lifeless for 2 weeks during veg, but miraculously came back to life. After it perked back up, it grew single leaves but eventually returned to normal after a new root system grew. I ended up flowering it and yielded about 2 ounces of tasty purple bud, despite major fan leaf loss and a bunch of single finger leaves from the 2 week slump. I am hoping it will be the same with with this, as I'd hate to have to go through the trouble of growing out new seeds and sexing them and what not, especially when I know that the flavor and potency are desirable in this specific plant.
As for the tap water, its pretty stiff, but I haven't had any problems from it yet. I started using RO water in flower and just stick with tap water to veg, and I have very few problems aside from this kind of freak stuff. I am planning on buying an RO machine soon so I don't have to spend a buck a gallon on RO water, and then I will probably switch everything to RO, but until then, the tap water is free.
