Hello everyone! I'm from Texas, female, probably older than most of you (53 and an original flower child) but we all have at least one thing in common! For most of my life smoking pot (please excuse my archaic terminology, but that's what I've always known it as and that's all I'll ever call it!) was a recreational thing. Now, though, as I'm getting older I'm finding more uses for it than just getting high. It really helps with my arthritis pain, it helps with my sleepless nights, it helps to calm my nerves and keeps me off of pharmaceuticals that can be addictive. Texas is not a medical marijuana state so I either have to buy off the street or grow it myself. I much prefer the latter, but sometimes can't get enough of a harvest and have to hit the streets again before the next harvest comes around. Does anyone in Texas know of anyone trying to get the medical marijuana law passed here? I'd be very interested in becoming involved with something like that.

Oh! And, nice to meet y'all!
