So I realize that I am still a noob around here, but I am not a noob to the internet. I do occasionally see mods post here and there, but the sheer amount of totally useless threads around here(and people who post them for that matter) is crazy. I realize that expecting everyone to know how to use a search function before they post a question that has been answered 100 times is just not going to happen, but is there a reason that these threads remain active? Really what I'm wondering is why the mods don't nuke more old threads that have no value to the current forum? Also I would like to nominate oldmac and Rusty Trichrome for mod, they rulz.:D
Discuss.

IMO, you are another great candidate for mod. The people I see the most around here with lots of practical experience and knowledge of cannabis AND those who have proved themselves legit. I am NOT saying there is a problem with the current modship, I'm just saying maybe more than 5 mods for all these forums, would be helpful to keep this place running smoother. What I'm finding more and more prevalent on these forums is threads from 5 years ago that went that long with next to no replies, being bumped onto the front page of the forum for what? So a noob (more often than not) can pad their post count a little bit. Threads that are over a certain age, with no activity should be locked so this kinda thing doesn't happen.

Hey there bonedaddy420,
Thank you for the compliment but I have no interest in being a mod. I just don't have enough time or the right disposition for that job. I get real cranky real fast, and many people would get banned every once in awhile, rightfully or not. ;)
When stinkyattic was around she did the work of 5 mods and things ran much better. She has stopped in to check up on us a couple of times, and in those short visits managed to purge some spam, put some people in thier place and answered a slew of questions. She did say she might be around a little more soon, I hope so.
The best we can do is try to help the helpless or ignore the ignorent...or try to point them in the right direction.
BTW, I nominate the Image reaper for mod, more level headed then most even if he holds a bias against LEDs. :D

Hey IR, if you're too old then I'm way, way too old! Just check with DP (who admits he's old as dirt) he will tell you I'm as old as rocks.:D

High ...Oldmac/IR...
Let's face it gang...we're over the hill!.... I have a feeling Stinky will be back eventually; and all will be well.
On another note:...something, management MIGHT want to consider is...
1. giving MENTOR status to experienced growers; who advice can be trusted. Sort of a CannaCom seal of approval. If they go wrong; it could taken away, quickly. Would work in drug testing forum, too?
2. the seal of approval could be something simple....:bigsmoke:...(I like this one)...in their sig or member status?
Dutch :pimp:

that is a great idea, I don't know if you need admin status or not to change a persons title, but I would love ot see that, instead of Registered+, it could say Mentor, or Pot Guru, or something.
