amantia mushrooms are legal and will make you trip, i guess if you take to much they can prove deadly, check out erowid for doses.

they arent supposed to be fun, or so from what ive heard. i live in washington and tons of amanita muscaria's grow in the forests around here in the mid-spring. i picked a few and brought them home to try, but they were infested with maggots so i never did try them. but from ive heard, they are not that cool. first, hallucinogenic mushrooms with psilocybin are a psychadelic drug. muscarine (i think) is the active chemical in amanitas, which is a deleriant, not a psychadelic. so its more of a deleriant trip which is nothing like psychadelic at all.

Not all Amanita mushrooms make you trip. Amanita phalloides is the death cap mushroom and it will make you die. Do check out erowid, of course, for doses and other information on A. muscaria.
