So its getting cold here in New England and i dont know what to do. This plant I got is looking nice and i dont want to kill it but dont have any place to put it in my house to keep it going. Do i bite the bullet right before it gets cold and take it out of the ground? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Unless the night time temperture is low enough to form frost or gets below freezing I would hold off chopping as long as possible.

Thanks for all the help. Neighbors are ok. Old lady. She actually caught me looking at it one day cause the buds are pretty big. She was like the weeds grow good there huh? I'm hoping she was talking about regular weedss Didn't really know what to say after that....hahaha. it gets pretty good sun during the day. What would you say a good temp for frost is?

well freezing is 32F. if it get's frozen it wil damage cells and cause irrepriable harm. as long as the temps don't get close to that you should be fine. keep an eye on it and look for frost. if you see some you might want to chop.
as far as when to harvest, you have to look at the trichs.
they go from clear to milky to amber. you want them to at least all be milky (or as close as possible). this will give you a cerebral, uppity high. the more that turn amber the more, couch lock stoned the high. this of course, is only as much as the strain will allow.
you can get a rough idea by the pistils colors. once they are mostly red/orangeish then look at the trichs to get solid intel to make the best decision.
also, keep in mind that when the trichs start turning amber they are "over-ripe" and THC starts to degrade rather quickly, although your buds will still put on significant weight.

Start covering it with black plastic for 12 hours to help hurry the budding process and protect it at night from frost.

Thanks for all the help everybody. The trichs are pretty much all milky so does that mean it could possobly be ready? I was trying to hold off for maybe another week or so but i know its going to start getting cold. Also, the buds are perrty big at the top and this morning it was like leaning forward. You think its from the weight of the buds? Appreciate all the feedback folks. I'ma try and post another pic later or tomorrrow to give you a better idea
