Last night me and my girl hung out with our friends and we were all drinking and having a good time, until out of nowhere this Huge ass moth (found out it's a Red Underwing Catocala nupta) starts fluttering frantically around the light. I snapped some pictures for you to see. I live in Colorado springs so to see a moth this big (Wingspan is about 1.5'') is just crazy.

Check the pictures out and let me know what you guys think :stoned:

Here's also a link to a site to see another picture of this moth. It says it's quite common to the southern half of britain, and is gradually increasing its range northwards. UKMoths - Red Underwing Catocala nupta (http://ukmoths.org.uk/show.php?id=214)

Man that's like an average size moth up here. I dunno why those fuckers are just huge here. They don't do much either, they just fly around at night into lights.

Down here that size is like incredibly HUGE. Usually moths down here are like 4 times smaller than that one. The red on it is pretty neat though
