Rumor is there's some Pierce County "green task force" who's been conducting surveillance around local grow shops in Puyallup and Tacoma.. Needless to say, this has me a bit paranoid to shop locally.
Anyone hear the same?

Go to the indoor garden shop in Kent.... your out of pierce county....they have one in Tacoma too Insecticides : Indoor Garden, Tacoma, Kent and Edmonds (http://www.indoorgarden.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=23)
Many years ago they busted M&R lighting in Seattle and alot of growers that went to that store....Green Gardens in Bellevue was another one the cops were watching.
The only thing I get from the Kent store is sunshine #4 mix and my fert.
I found out that I can get the #4 from feedstores for less money $25 for the same bag that cost me $40 at the grow store.
My fertilizer I buy online in a 5 gallon container once a year Ask.com Search Engine - Better Web Search (http://www.ask.com/bar?q=greenleaves+grow+juice+5+gallon&page=1&qsrc=0&ab=0&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.thegrowstore.com%2Fcatalog.asp% 3Fcatagory1%3DPlant%2520Nutrients%26manuf%3DNSR%25 20%2F%2520ESU%2520Greenleaves)

Go rent a car or even better see if you can borrow a car. Pay cash always and park the car somewhere legal for a couple day then go get your stuff.
Realistically you should always be doing this. If you are driving to a store with your own registered car you are already taking unnecessary risks......

There's been some problems with the one in Bremerton too. Just use caution. If it seems fishy just stay away.

I heard from a store owner that after Hemp Fest, where AN flew a banner.. I'm sure there's something on youtube, same one they flew over San Francisco during the indoor gardening expo. As a result of the banner, the feds have reportedly visited hydro stores in Pierce, King and Snohomish counties telling them that selling equipment for the intended use of growing mj is a felony. Evidently some store owners have pulled some products from inventory including nutrients and can filters.. They're also reported to be performing surveillance around some stores.
Nice shit.

Wow, if this is true that is call for alarm. Better not be driving your own car to stores then. We need some more creative suggestions to avoid the surveillance.
I suggested driving a alternate vehicle not registered to you then parking it somewhere for a day before driving it home.
Anyone else have any slippery ways?

I'm driving south... As much as I hate taking money out of town, better safe than sorry.
The owner I was talking with also mentioned they were running plates and if the person had any former drug related offenses, they were tailing them etc.
While some of this is unvalidated, I'd rather not be a link to an article in the local news that proves it. So much for the Feds backing off, and it seems reasonable to assume the counties are involved as well.

Its been my experience that any local shop I have been to, have a notice about even discussing mmj. If you do, you don't get served. And, I would submit that its more bandidos rather then johnny whose scoping out patrons.
If its illegal to sell things that could be used to grow marijuana, Home Depot, Lowes or any other lighting shop could potentially be raided then. :D
Frankly, I think the whole war on MJ is bullshit. How many of our elected officials are brave enough to stand for the truth, allow dispensaries or non-profits, or profits and collect a sales tax the same as any other. Ten percent, fair and square. Don't use mmj to recoup monies they have squandered one way or another. We are taxed to the max as it is already. the myths need to die from the truth.

MY local hydro store allows no talk of MJ even though its got to be 90% of his business. Another perfect example of why we need to re-instate the 10th Amendment. The feds have no jurisdiction. MJ is legal in the state, companies have the right to sell anything connected to MJ they want.

QFT and great justice.
I have noticed there are two types of people on these forums.
1. "Boy we sure are lucky that we have Medical Marijuana laws here, thank you sir for letting us grow a little bit of weed"
2. "Why are we being treated like criminals having to seek out doctors and even then still possibly being prosecuted for growing a plant that is natural and even helpful while corporations make millions off our back."
(one of the heads of a healthcare corp made 500million dollars in 5 years recently)
What I know of human nature is that ingrained into all of us is a special guilt trip that has been laid upon us our whole lives by this society. We should not have to justify ourselves or play cat and mouse just so we can be normal guys.
The fact is the more people who grow the better it is for medicinal patients and people who are in prison for 10 years for non violent drug offenses. We don't need laws we need social acceptance across a broad spectrum of American people.
I love how every new comer here first feels it necessary to explain in great length why or how they got there card. People shouldn't need to justify themselves to anyone much less the people on this board.
We are talking about a life or death struggle here and the stakes are high. Have you seen the crap Glenn Beck is telling people, the guy is starting a race war...well who do you think they will come after next after they get rid of the blacks, mexicans and gays?:angry3:

Well, I've been to FOUR stores in the greater Seattle area, and nobody had a can filter. One store employee told me they were being held up at the border, and then finally someone at another store said they were trying to appease law enforcement and were taking them off the shelved until a lawsuit decides if they are legal. I ended up driving out of state to get one.

I'm just glad I hadn't visited any of the local hydro stores since before Hempfest.. Particularly if the surveillance is true. :wtf: You can save 9% on taxes just driving south to Oregon and not have your plate run.. Sounds like a good deal to me.

I was told at a Pierce County hydro store that the can carbon filters were not being allowed to be sold because the authorities figure they can only be used for one thing. Growing marijuana.
Another store operatior in Pierce County said the law or whatever the State Legislature passed will not stand in court and that eventually the filters should be sold again. No time line was mentioned.
I searched and searched the State Legislature's web site for a RCW that would explain this ruling/action. I could find none. Asking business operators didn't get me far.

The stores I listed above...I called them they said the DEA is on them in reguards to the Cans and other items....they no longer carry them:(
How can the Feds say a indoor lighting store cant sell the cans (a carbon filtration system) but other stores can sell some type of carbon filtration...man thats a lawsuit waiting to happen:wtf:
