I recently found out that mmj can help lessen the frequency and severity of pain and discomfort associated with IBS. I just moved here from Texas so I don't have a regular doctor here and I never saw my doctor about IBS back home (just dealt with it) so I don't have any medical records. All of the places I've seen that do recommendations charge over $200 for an appt. and many require you to have medical records, but with my current finances, I really can't afford it.
Can anyone refer me to a clinic or a doctor that i can see about a recommendation for relatively cheap (preferably under $100 for an appt.)? One that doesn't require medical records?
Any help would be much appreciated!

not that im aware of i do know or have heard about an assist program but not sure it depends on how much u make or not? and the ones your talking about that say u don't need med records from another doc is because more than not they will charge you extra for doing the exam themselfs.
im sure one of my haters will come in and say they know a place that will do everything for 50$. don't hold your breath on that one lol.i'd say your in the 250 to 400 range unless that program is for real and u can get into it.but that might just be for the state fee to tho im not sure.

I'm not entirely opposed to paying for a quality exam (I'd actually love to get a doctor's diagnosis instead of my own), but until I start work and pay a few bills, I really can't even think of dropping more than 300 (for appt and card fee) on getting legal...just hoping there is something out there even in the $200 or $150 range.

I list a few cheaper ones in CO here. I'll have to get more info on Green Medicals cause that's a good deal:

I know a caregiver that will pay for your appointment if you assign him your caregiver once you are legal.

Thats right Pale. I dont think he just takes anyone as he is looking for people that need $45 - $55 eighths, tinctures and free delivery. For some these services and getting your appointment paid for is exactly what they are looking for and some others might think his offerings are shit lol.
You are absolutley right about changing if you dont like him though.

I've always been interested in getting a card but don't have any records. I have depression and i smoke daily to help it, and it really does help so getting a card would just be that much better for me. How much do you think it would be for me to get a card regarding my situation?

Depression is not one of the conditions outlined in Amendment 20, so you probably are not eligible unless you have some other medical condition. AFAIK you must be suffering from cancer, glaucoma, AIDS or one of the following symptoms: cachexia, severe pain, severe nausea, seizures or persistent muscle spasms.
(not a doc, not a lawyer, just repeating what it says on my physician certification form)

I've been looking for information on this clinic but can't seem to find anything (even in westword); anyone know where this place is or how I could contact them?
Also, Feijao, that sounds like a sweet deal. How can I get in contact with this person?

I read somewhere else in this forum that someone got in to some a dr for cheap but can't find it now.
When looking at the all the related costs of getting registered I think it really boils down to what is important to you & what your values are. Except for my medical issues, I am happier than I've ever been in my life right now & don't want things to change. I also want to start growing my medicine & want that to be as legal as possible for me. I don't want to risk losing my home because of that. It took me too long to finally get my little cottage up in the mtns. :rastasmoke:
I don't think that the incredible expense of having to retain a lawyer, fight the system & pay all the other expenses related to getting busted are something I can afford emotionally or physically. ($25,000+ for my friend recently) When I list the yearly expense of getting a card, $90, paying a doctor to read all my paperwork & recommend mmj for me ($180 for me), it is obvious that I can afford to pay less than $300 a lot easier instead of $25,000+.
It means I will have to budget more pennies than ever, cut back more things & tighten up more, but it is important for me to manage my medical issues w/one more tool, the MMJ.
