I was an aspiring musician, and soon found myself listening to all kinds of music I'd never been interested in before, especially symphonic and acoustic guitar. Now, years later, all the same reasons apply, plus all the positive associations connected, conscious and otherwise. The aroma is now as pleasant to me as the way your house smells when there's a turkey, roast, bread, etc. cooking in the oven. I freed myself from connections with dealers many years ago; grow my own, and have no desire to either buy or sell. I like the independance that gives me, and enjoy the gardening too.

I think the effects of marijuana are pretty unique, myself. Its pretty simple, I smoke marijuana because I like it. I'm lazy, but I've always been that way. I'm not apathetic, and I don't need pot to survive. Its just nice, I don't see why people overcomplicate it.

The thing i really love about weed is it just keeps giving, you can smoke it everyday for a month and stop the next day and you wont feel any nasty side effects or cravings (cept a little trouble sleeping maybe). I would never tell a cute girl to quit smokin herb, but you definately should consider cutting back. I know it sucks to think about, but everyone has to cut back once in a while. I think your best bet is to start out by NOT smoking before school, because that affects your grades and what not. Plus, few things are as rewarding as an after school smoke session. Think of a joint as your reward for dealing with 6 hours of bull shit.

If weed is your only way of dealing with reality, you might have a little bit of a problem. But I do think it's cool that you're honest with your mom about smoking, it's not cool to constantly lie to parents. She's only looking out for your own best interests. Believe me, my mom is the same way.

If you can cut back, you'll find your tolerance is lower, you'll have more energy, and you'll be saving money. (unless you grow your own).

Anyways that's my take, I'm only 20 years old so I'm still young and dumb, but I'm not as dumb as most 20 year olds.

Yeah I find that too. Weed is not like alcohol, when I fall asleep stoned more often than not I wake up feeling like a million bucks. I have moderate problems with insomnia and I find weed relaxes me enough so that I can just drift off instead of tossing and turning for half the night.
