Hey Im nate and I live in East Providence, Rhode Island. I suffer from social anxiety disorder and depression. Sometimes its hard for me to do normal tasks. Like ordering food..cashing a check. Ive been on 3 different medication and none seem to work. Im interested in getting an MMP card..heres the thing. When I go to my doctor..and bring this concern up with him. The thing is for some people marijuana increases anxiety? So if he comes at me with that? what do I do? should i tell him ive used it before and how it makes me feel. or should i just say im "giving it a try". I dont want to be shot down becuase ive used before. PLEASE HELP

Tell your Dr. that there are different medical types of cannabis: Indica, Sativa and Hybrids. Each and different types work for different things. Ask him to read up on it. Not all types cause the same effect.
Should you tell him??? I believe that is a personal decision. It will permanently be on all your medical records and the medical community is not up to speed with it at this point. It could effect a lot of things in your future. PR

even in this day, and age, there are very few doctors, that will not laugh in your face, if you attempt to discuss the medical benefits of marijuana, with them ... that's not how they were educated, and that's not how they make their money ... BUT, always tell your doctor, nurse, ambulance attendant, etc., that you are using marijuana, it could possibly figure into your health care situation, drug interaction, etc. ... anything you discuss with them, remains confidential, by law, don't hesitate to be truthful ... :smokin:

If it is your regular doctor, do not lie to him or her. You and the doctor need to come up with a treatment together.
Do you have SAD and depression or Agoraphobia ? Are you being treated for it ? I live on the eastcoast and no medical cards out here. Some use for eye conditions that's it.
However I talk to my doctor every visit about MMJ. He has a whole group of old people he wants to try it on and himself. LOL
After a heart attack I do not take meds blindly. The doctor and I reason out the need for any meds and then it all depends on what the meds do to the quality of life. If they make me feel real bad, no more.
Don't be afraid.
After being busted I guess I'm like old Quint off of Jaws.
Ya all know me, ya know what I DO !!!!!
