my 2 ladies have heat and an overdose on miracle grow

The problem is an old one so the new growth is all green and pretty but the lower growth is yellowish and completely burned on the edges with yellow dots all over the leaves. Is there any way of saving the lower growth? im afraid if that dies then it will weaken the stem or am im over worrying?

I assume that the PH has stablized because the new growth looks normal but does any1 think i should put a base to save the lower growth?

There's a point past which damage won't heal on a leaf- if new growth is strong, you've got it as fixed as you're going to get it.

Get rid of the damaged growth, it won't recover plus you'll get better new growth.

I respectfully disagree; if there's still green on the damaged growth, the plant is still using it. Nitrogen and other mobile nutrients will be scavenged from the damaged leaves before the plant sloughs them off. Once the leaves go yellow, and pull off with a gentle tug, the plant is finished with them. Until then, there's still some value left.

I'm with Stinky. I always figured that plant will get rid of it when it's done using it. My grows got much better when I stopped trying to outsmart my plants, and did more listening to them:thumbsup:

UPDATE

One doubled in size and the other is slowly coming along. BUT the problem is spreading

I havnt touched miracle grow in weeks so it has to be overwattering or heat issues.

50% of the larger female is black spots leafs and new growth on top is looking superb. The other plant is yellow as hell with the same new growth at the top excellent.

Im going to leave my fan on 20/7 and stop watering for 5 days. pictures say a thousand words but pictures are imcriminating.

If the problem is spreading then you have a different problem. Yellow lower leaves is usually a lack of nitrogen. If you have black spots on leaves, that is a disease like mold. I'd suggest taking clones from the top, get rid of the mother plants and try again. If you to use a chemical fert, use Shultz brand or go to a grow shop and get a bottle of Dynagro for veg cycle, NPK of about 7-9-5. It's a complete fert with micro nutes and will do what you want but for soil it's only about 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon in a gallon of water, probably every time you water when soil looks dry. Use less fert if you water alot.
