I run a Digital Greenhouse 600w digital ballast. My new neighboor that moved in across the street tells me that he is big into ham radios and he gets nothing but static during the time my light is on. He knows the interfernace is coming from my house! Has anyone had similar problems? is there a soulition?

hmmm thats really weird but i wouldnt think that one ballast could iinterupt a neighbors radio frequency.maybe several hunderd. i mean if thats the case than every time some one turned on a microwave it would have the same affect.personally i would say fuck him,do your thing.or switch to a magnetic basllast.do a test.if your cell phone has no interference next to your grow room i promise u it wont b affecting his radio.i worked in rf site building/cell communication for years and this scenario would b one for the books.

If he's tight with the FCC?...he could sling some serious shit your way
digital ballasts ...up to 20,000 hz
magnetic ballasts...60 hz

My friend has a 400w magnetic ballast im gunna use for now. I heard the new lumatek digital ballasts are supposed to be double insulated and claim to have 0 interference. but as for the digital greenhouse, i wouldnt recomend it.
