last month of flowering, disaster, need help

Hi everyone,
I am less than new at this. I have been thrown into a hydro set-up. I have less than a clue what to do with this. My "guy" has been less than involved, and there have been many mistakes along the way. So, what I am left with now is the last month, they are flowering, small plants (pushed too soon to flower). The stems, are turning red, he has known about the problem for about 2 weeks, yet has failed to fix the problem. I am just trying to not kill them, because I do not know what to do to fix it myself. I keep trying to "research" but can not seem to find a step by step guide (ROFL) on what to do from step 1 week one to the last day, with nutrients especially.
The specific question I guess I have is how do I fix the red stems?
I have a 4x2 tray, using a pump and drain system, they are being watered 2x a day now. the ppm is around 600, he said to keep it there because they are small plants and doesn't want to "burn them", with over nutrients. I am pumping 20 gallons of water for 15 minutes (ppm 600-ph 6.3). 1000 wat hps, about 2ft from plants. light time is 11 on 13 off now. They are enclosed with panda all around, air conditioner, room kept at 75, h202 pumped into room.
I am even too paranoid to post here or talk to anyone, but I really need the help. If I have missed anything, please ask, I need the right advice.

I have clones that I am trying to root, but thats a whole other set of problems and questions I will address later.

I want to see pictures of this. Specifically because it will help us determine if there is a nute issue.

I will say this...regardless of a plant size (lowryders, sativa, Indica, or cross breed) your PPM are way too low for a flower cycle. Hence the red stems. Your plants size might be due to the genetic strain it comes from...and it might be time to look into new strains for your 2nd grow. :jointsmile:

Are these clones, from seed, in what grow medium, and what nutrients are you using?

My advice...do not work with this guy again. Lose his number, as I am sure he has lost yours. Follow the Nutrient guides posted by your nutrient manufacturer. If GENERAL HYDROPONICS, or ADVANCED NUTRIENTS, follow the charts they have online.

My answer to your red stem question is PPM. Way too low. But, anyone on here can not give you better advice if you are not following the form posted in the sick plants section. We need to know what you are doing in your grow...and the information you gave is simply not complete. I am not putting your post down at all...it just lacks all the pertinent information required to give you a complete answer.

Growing is a process...it is a science. Everyone on here has opinions on what is best. But, ultimately every grow is full of trial and error. You will have to learn this stuff on your own...and sometimes the hard way (by losing multiple plants). My advice to you is this. KEEP POSTING, post some pictures, and put a grow log on here. We will help you along on your way.

What people do not want to see here is fly by night question guys. If you are serious about growing great medicine...then this is the right place to be! :thumbsup:

There might not be a step by step guide of what to do from week 1 till finish but there are normally some informative grow logs going on that can help quite a bit.

Like said PPM's are low and PH is high. Should be 5.2 to 5.8.

About the A/C, is it blowing right on the plants or over the top of them. Cold can turn stems purple.

I pushed my bro in law into the water cause he kept buggin me. It was the only way to see if he could swim. First time I have seen anyone drowned in a ten gallon tub but he did it. He kept mixing the lucas formula backwards no matter how many time I showed him. LOL

You sound like most all things are running good. You just need a little back up. I think we have all been helped and will help. Fill out the trouble form and show a few pic's and all fears will be put to rest.

So, I have been reading a lot of posts, and your responses. I up'd the right nutes now to about 1000, my ph running around 5.5. They are looking a lot better. I did a leech today too, I will let y'all know where that takes us. The a/c is above, and I check the temp often, keeping room around 74, it fluxes a little as the heat raises and drops with the day. I appreciate the advice, really! As soon as the drama round here dies down, I will have to post my schedule, nutes, temps etc. See if I am making the grade lol.
