I am overwhelmed with the amount of nutrient choices we face. What brand is the best to use. The ads in the magazines claim they are the best. Has anyone compared the results from different makers?

ive used the the GH flora nova series and did 2 grows using foxfarm nutes. used a lot less of the GH because of its dense concentration and had about a 15% higher trimmed yield growing the same strain (Dr. Who) with the same techniques. the only downside is that the GH stuff clumps up towards the end of the bottle. defiantly like the GH more than the foxfarm organic stuff.

Ok thanks. Yes I am using GH 3 part in hydro. However those dutch master adds look tempting, not to mention humbolt nutes also. Do you notice the difference when you add the sweetner to your nute schedule? Do the buds taste sweeter?

they're probably all good, for the most part ... I used the 3-part GH nutes, that came as a kit, it was good, clean, fertilizer, no problems ... THEN, I switched to Fox Farm nutes, and my plants came alive ! ... the stuff rocks, I use it exclusively  ... plus, a dab of molasses, throughout flowering ...

now you are contradicting what duck has said. He claims GH 3 part is better than fox farm nutes. I know there exist a best one , finding the best one is a hell of a challenge. I use the Gh nectar pineapple flavor as a sweetener as directed Will this sweeten the buds?

Sweet in the water does not equal sweet in the buds.
It's a carboload that helps them grow buds. Like molasses.
As for the best. I think it is personal. To know the best for you could mean trying them all one by one. You must experience them for your self.
I like GH but I want to try the Dutch when I get enough money.

so, if I am in the last month, use molasses? If i am pumping 20 gallons 2x a day, what would the amount be to add to the water? It helps the flowering?
god I feel stoopid, but I have to learn :wtf:

I think best nutes can be determined basically by 2 things...... the Grower and the Strain being grown. You could purchase a small GH 3-Part kit which includes 1 bottle each of Micro, Grow and Bloom. If I remember right they come in quarts this way so if your not impressed you dont have gallons to use up before trying something else.

yes tiny . I understand the strain is key to good bud but I am assuming all things being equal. In other words , if you had three separate grows using the same strain ,lighting, same environment same grower but each had different nutes which would yield the best crop?

key is to find someone who has used all kinds of diff brands but the hard part is most stop looking once they found something they like and work well for them. I started with GH 3-Part and have never used anything else as it works well for me and my garden

I don't think I would use molasses in the last month. I would use it the next time. I don't use it at all but may try just to see myself. I think it is 1 to 2 teaspoons per gallon. Mixed very well.
