Hi Yall.
So today I was tending the new clones, wondering why they were getting yellow so fast on me, and so I turn my thermometer around and its 95 degrees in my dome. And I realize I hadnt checked the actual temp in probably 3 days. How did I not? No idea. Then I was watering, hit my head on the lamp and broke a piece of my light mover. Then I realized some of those little buttons on my timer got pushed in, resulting in a 15 minute dark period in the middle of the "day".

Yes, I am a bonehead. I'm not sure why I made a whole bunch of noob mistakes this week, but Im on a roll! Perhaps it is the early WW Ive been smoking? Anyway, was just wondering if someone else could post the dumbest thing they ever did so I could feel better. :)

the dumebest thing i've done was knocking my lamps off there hinge and taking out my crop but lessons learned and i now have eye hooks instead of the fish hook type hangers. you only learn by the mistakes you make right.

Probably getting my timers wrong, I had them set at 6 on 18 off instead of 18 on 6 off. took me two days to realise.
Don't do technical shit when you're shitfaced. :D

I filled my reservoirs from a garden hose, unhooked it from the spigot, coiled it back up, adjusted my nute solution, patted my ladies on their pointy little heads, and went back home... I forgot two important things: One, the delivery end of the hose was still in the res. Two, the other end of the hose was coiled up on the ground several feet below the reservoirs... Can you say siphon?
I went back a few days later to fiddle with the tanks and discovered that they were EMPTY... I'm an idiot. I know this shit. My entire livelihood depends on fussing with pipes and hoses and tanks and siphoning is a fact of life... Slap me! Two time!
The only thing that saved me is that BOTH of my HIDs had blown that first day and I was already on supplemental flouro lighting, so no one died.
Still...

on my first attempt of a diy grow tent forgot to take into consideration that light can go through the teeth of a zipper, can we say hermie crop?? :(

Told someone that I grew.

Which then forced me to quit. Maybe just out of paranoia, but still.

Pulled down my garden, got rid of all my growing gear when the cops were sitting out in front of my house all night, staking out.

After about a week, they came and hauled away my... neighbor.

Did some digging for a few hours at an outdoor grow, in a location which turned out badly infested with Chiggers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chigger). These tiny red mites attach, then burrow a few mm into one's skin by releasing an enzyme which causes *severe* itching and redness. Then they linger inside their burrows and feed for a few days, further prolonging the misery. Chiggers prefer the soft skin close to the genitals, BTW. One or two of them are bad news. That evening whilst applying ointment, I counted 130+ of the little monsters. DEET prevents chiggers from attacking, but I forgot to apply it that day. That was a mistake which I never repeated.

on my very first grow, my plants stretched like crazy, the main stalk was like 3 feet before the canopy actually started. I didn't realize how bad it was until it took me almost 3 months to flower and the buds were only like a gram each. Then I even topped them all the second week into flowering.
god that was stupid

Trusted that the heater and all were working durring cold snap last march. Turned out heater had blown a fuse and all hydro tanks froze rock solid. Amazingly there was about 15% of the girlz that lived.

BTW: they are calling for blizzard and so I just...just in case...went and got a generator and propane heaters to save them this year..we hope!

I'd been mixing nutes in a gallon jug in concentrate and then dividing it into three and diluting them. Somehow in my wisdon I used the concentrated stuff to water 10 or so ladies who were 3 weeks from done.

Yeah, fried them pretty good

Haha, reminds me of the time I got into an accident in front of my dealer's house & when the cops came to take reports I saw him tossing pounds of weed over his back fence into the alley!

My worst mistake was telling my mom I was growing back in high school in my closet (her house), thought I was going crazy when every couple days there would be one fewer bud on the plant! Apparently that was the "rent charge" lol.
