I have sexed my own plants for 20 years now before setting outside. I would obviously have some hermies, they were always the same an indivdual branch or top would flower male easy to find- today while picking caterpillars off my plants I found this hermie in attached photo- It is a Blueberry from feminized seeds by Dutch Passion this is the second of this strain to go hermie on me- the plant is 5 weeks into flower with male flowers showing up in all the buds- unfortunetly it looks like this has been going on for some time- this plant was stressed heavely by these fucking caterpillars I have been combating for several weeks now- there are a lot of girls in the proxcimity of this plant- don't worry I jerked this hermie out of the ground- It is sad for me ,I paid a high dollar for these seeds and 2 of 5 never sprouted and now this to 2 more- I have Oasis by DP and they all look great for now- any feed back will be appreciated

Let it cure, might be smokable.

I am not a fan of fem seeds, too many genetic traits can pop out.

Dutch, I had reservations about these fem seeds myself- I was unable to start my crop as usual and read the reviews by Dutch Passion on their fem seeds and thought I would give them a shot I also have planted White widow fem from Greenhouse Seeds plants are doing great hope I have had all the bad luck I can for the year

Ive had some wicked good hermie smoke ,its good to pull though
if you dont want to risk cross pollination.Ive never had bad luck with fem
seeds but grow mostly a stockpile of clones now and find a good clone will out yield a seed anyday but Ive had great luck with Nirvana. Dont sweat a
hermie alot can cause this.:hippy:

This is an old thread, well not so old.

Anyway that is not a hermie.

That is a female making female banana's and fem seeds. The seeds can only be female.

A hermie has male and female. This is all female in a last ditch effort to continue the species.

Very prized pollen if you can collect and store propperly.

I think he is referring to "intersexual" instead of Hermie. It could just be the final stages of the flowering??????? Over ripe?

I have seen this often in a few of the mature females I grow. Most of the time the male stamen is infertile. In your pic the flower does appear to be complete so if that was mine I would remove the plant just in case. There is nothing wrong with the smoke though. Enjoy.

Femm seeds come from a female plant that is in a last ditch effort to save the species. Late in flower these plants are slightly stressed in some way causing them to form a female pollen pod known as a banana. intersexual I guess.

Since males need to come out early to pollennate females . Like about two weeks into flower. To make a good seed crop. These banana's will at best only pollenate a very few flowers being sooo late in the flower process. Very high priced seeds.

The breeders have to collect banana's and keep them to pollenate plants that are about 2 to 3 weeks into flowering.

So late into flower is no big deal and you get a few femm seeds. Unless you have a sea of green and the the younger crop is right to pollenate. Very bad.

Also wash your room down inbetween just to make sure. Some think pollen last forever but it really only has a shelf life of about 2 weeks.
