I was just thinking about something and want your honest anwers especiall if your going to be voting in the next election.
If there were a party to emerg in the United states differing from the Democrats and Republicans alled the Patriot political party and who's platform would be to re-instill the constitution, bill of rights repeal all uncostitutional laws and give back the states the right to self rule even in the case of MJ use would you join that party and or vote for mayor, counselman, judge, congressman, senator or even president from the patriot party?

well it's our job to make them take us seriously! it's not going to be easy. they don't want to loose control of the country. the govt is basically 180 degrees out from the libertarian point of view. they want to take our rights away and enslave us. that's apparent. it starts in the schools.
this country started in a revolution and a revolution will spawn a new nation. maybe not new as in brand new, but new in outlook and the way business is done. get back to the constitution, rid of big govt, at least the majority of taxes...

Bingo! Or someone might say they are way to Liberal LIBERAL TARIAN
But who cound stand against a patriot canidate. Hell they wan to name the healthcare bill After Ted Kennedy so it will stand a better chance of passing. If it passes by just a name then a Patriot political party would win for sure.
Cuz people are sheeple.

We'll never be able to vote a 3rd party candidate as president till we get rid of the electoral college. Its time for us to become a democracy.

has anyone here seen the movie sicko? its about healthcare but in the same sense france, germany, greenland, and many other countries riot against thier goverment to get what they deserve. i hate to say but americans are to scared to stand for thier rights and for the ones who do go to jail for some type of obstructing justice and the news betrays it as a criminal act, so no one else wants to take a stand for whats right. in my mind there should be no goverment no president or polical parties and no troops over seas fighting over oil. america is built on double standards and lies and every american relies on the goverment to protect and to serve yet we get neither. in my opinion the people should be represented by the people not one man and his army of greed

I was so upset when he shrunk like a little violet.

I voted for Ross but he was a typical type A personality. He had his faults. But it shows what the potential of a 3rd party candidate could have if we could get a good one. I still think Ron Paul is probably our best hope because there is just no one else out there with name recognition that would have a chance. Jessi Ventura maybe. I would vote for him in a second but I think the general public would probably just laugh at him.

Lets just start by keeping it simple....Start with these changes and go from there..
1) term limits for congress persons and senators (2 terms max)
2) add to the requirements for prez... Must have served at lease 4 years continuous active duty in one of the 5 military services.
3) The federal government cannot spend more than is collected in taxes.
4) All government employees (especially the elected ones) have to use the VA for their health care.
Any other suggestions??

Those are things that should come to anyone who thinks honestly about how our country is run.
I do not agree that one must have served in the military to be president however. I would suggest something else. An intensive military education class that the president elect would be required to take after winning the election, and the time he or she is sworn in. Our commander-in-chief MUST know how to command.
what I would add to your list is DROP THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE! We are no longer the "ignorant masses" that made up the american population that our founding fathers correctly labeled us as. In 1776, the average person had no true ability to vote for the president that would help them the most. Hell, today there most likely isn't a much greater percentage of the population qualified.
One thing I say, which many won't agree with is this: news and reporting services must be held accountable. None of us, and I mean NONE of us, should turn to Fox news to gain information. They are biased. Completely. They have a fool play-act at supporting the liberal news. Watch Geraldo once, you will cry yourself to sleep that night. The point is, many many MANY of our people sit at home every night, and flip through the airwaves(outdated term now I guess)to find this accursed station. They gain all their political beliefs from it. It is sickening. The liberal media is just as bad I assume, but I grow up in a conservative family, and they watch Fox 24/7, so its failings I know the best. The point is, both sides have the constitutional right to do what they are doing. But they do not have the right, in my mind, to do it in such a manner that they destroy the truth, and in turn, destroy the ability of our people to create our own thoughts in a pure and honest manner.
