View Full Version : Too small to flower?

I have 14 beautiful plants and i just put them into flower. The biggest one is maybe 10 inches with a couple around the same size. I have a few that are only like 6 inches long but with like 5 nodes. This is my second grow and we had problems with height with our last grow.(where in an attic which tops out at about 5 feet) I flowered at 12 inches and had some pop up to 40 inches by full flower. Side branching is already starting to occur on all of them.

I know they might be smaller than normal(thats what im going for) but are they still going to be healthy and mature enough to give me good product. I would imagine yield would suffer too.

i've grown some shorties and have had no problems with growing by the end of my flowering they grew at least 2 feet more but my yield was not as much as i wanted it. they were all around 6 to 7 inches when i started the flowering. so i think you wont have any problems as long as you keep up on them. good luck

I've put some 6-inchers into flower and they successfully flowered. I did not finish them so I don't know how much they would have yeilded, but I wasn't expecting much. Just wanted to see if they would flower.

you can put clones into flower as soon as they have roots. from seed you can start it on 12/12, but it's better to wait for maturity which is shown by opposite leaves (alternating). usually around the 4-5th node. if you don't wait for maturity it's not really letting the plants genetics to "fully cook" if you will.

the thing is that they have aleternating nodes, and theyre like 5 or six nodes tall. There is just very small space between nodes. I just put them into the flowering room the other day with the smallest one at 6 inches(its now eight) and the biggest ones are about a foot. They are the same strains i grew with my first grow and they shoot up two to three times the size.

If its like that again then now theyll be two to three feet tall, which will be perfect. I vegged too long for the first batch and they are fucking monsters of my growroom and with the space issues i have, theyre to big.

What about if i took them from flowering females? I took the bottom branches with tiny buds on them and cloned them. Should i re veg them for a couple weeks then throw them into flower, or should i just throw them right in after they develop roots and let them finish what they started?

you need to let them develop roots first, so back to veg. it might take a little longer than normal. as soon as they are rooted then you can pop them into flower.

what will they grow like if i just let them root and then flower. Are they just going to be short one cola plants?

I have learned the same way drudown and will be going the way you have
outlined. Giant bushes in my growroom. But for my first time, 54 inches and 2 weeks into flowering. I didn't clone either. First time was to see if I could follow directions. Nature knew what to do. :stoned:

we had a big sausage fest so i had to pull MOST of the fucking crop. Got maybe 3 girls, and 11 guys. I got fucked with the seeds. Good thing I took 14 more clones from my 4 other females that just rooted so im hoping to have more in there soon. Ill save a couple and keep in veg as mothers and just flower the rest.
