Hey everybody, this is my 1st post and I wanna make it as easy as possible for people tryin to help me. So if I missed anything please ask and ill get on it.

I??ve had these problems a lil while but had no camera so thought best wait till I got one.

I am guessing that I have a Nitrogen and Phosphorous problem, however I had (and think I still have) a gnat/blackfly problem, as well as rouge temperatures reeking havoc for a while which may be confusing me?

I don??t wanna assume it??s a deficiency and then go and burn the shit out of em with nutes, so if anyone would mind shedding some light on the situation and how to remedy it I??d be grateful!

I will be re-potting soon. Started some minor LST (low stress training) recently.

I started the 4 big ones around mid July, and the others a few weeks later? Slow growth as far as I can tell.

I also had a few die on me, bummer, but expected. I looked everywhere and couldn??t find anything that looked like this though, anyone know? They are the pics of the little dead and withered ones, happened very quickly also.

There is a troubleshooting form in the next post, that should help shed some light on things. More pics in next post also!

Thanks in advance for the help, and to everyone that contributed to the vast library of info on the site! Stackin paper to the ceilin, bangin bitches without rubber and ridin on 24? chrome ;)

What is your experience level? (first timer, but did a LOAD of research over the last few years)

Your Equipment:
.1) Type and wattage of lights: 400w HPS, (Started of with CFL's)
.2) Distance from tops? Generally 35 CM away, but I move it around a lot (usually depending on temps)
.3) Reflector type? Standard ??upside-down U?? (I forgot the name of it)
.4) Is there a consistent fresh air supply? The room that my grow room is in, always has the window open, 1 of my 2 extraction fans is on 24hrs, other corresponds with light cycle
.5) Do you have an exhaust fan and a circulation fan? Yes, 2 85m3 (23 litres per second) 4? shower extractor fans. And 2 circulating fans, 1 small, 1 big.
.6) What are the bulb wattages, Kelvin ratings, and schedule? 400w, currently 18/6 veg, starts at bout 3am off at bout 9am I do believe.

Your medium:
.7) Specific brand and type of soil: Using ??West + Peat free multi purpose compost?? (re-potting soon and willing to change if need be!) Added some vermiculite & perlite (no specific ratios)
.8) Size of container. Don??t know exactly what they are in (look at pics), but they will be goin into 12 ltr square pots soon
.9) Did you use peat pucks (or similar) to root clones or germinate seedlings? Yea, coco pellets (orange pots) and rockwool cubes (white cups)

Your nutrients and water:
10) Source of water? Tap water What's it's ph before adjusting? Roughly 8.5 I??d say?
11) Method of checking water ph. The bottle of solution, bought in grow shop (pic of it)
12) Method of adjusting water ph. Was using white vinegar, now using organic Ph down
13) Specific brand and N-P-K ratio for each bottle. Bio Grow (2-6-3.5): using 1ml per litre. current feeding schedule. I feed roughly every 3-4 days when I water, when I started I may have been watering too frequently, but that was before I was feeding.
14) How often are you watering between feedings, and how much per watering? I don??t really water between feedings, maybe I should be? When my problems started I began flushing. And any time I water/feed, I will pass a lot of nutrient water through (kinda flushing each time)
15) Any additives or tea's? (Superthrive, CalMag, molasses, Mother's Earth...) Nope, not yet anyways.
16) Are your ph levels stable, or do they fluctuate? They must be fluctuating as im using the test bottle that??s not very accurate. Id say this is the cause of some of my problems! Im getting a ph meter soon though.
17) What is your ingoing water's ph? Roughly between 6 & 6.8 im guessing, once its near the colours id generally leave it as when I fucked with it, it would go into the red! ...your runoff ph? Most times that I tested, it wasn??t TOO far off from what was going in, maybe due to the regular flush?
18) Do you foliar feed? If so, with what, how often, and at what time do you spray? No, but I did tobacco & chilli spray due to Gnat problem.

Your growroom:
19) Indoors or outdoors? Indoor closet type.
20) What size of closet, room or hut? Bout 1m X 1m X 1.2?. So roughly 4ft X 4ft X 6ft
21) What are the temps and humidity levels while lights are on? Some rocky temps at the start, but now its stay between 27c-29c (ive gotten some HIGH maxes at around 37c-39c but don??t know for how long etc...With lights off? Using a heater I tried to keep it round 24ish, but would bottom out mostly at 22-23c (got some low spikes also tho, a cause of my problems no doubt)
22) Have you seen signs of insects in the growroom? YES! Little gnat cock suckers, or blackfly.. I think they are all the same. Think I now have under control as I used ??Neem repel?? (see pics) was using the chilli, garlic pepper mix aswell as the tobacco tea before to keep em controlled. Now have fly trap paper In there too.

Your strain:
23) What strain are you growing? (Indica dominate or Sativa dom?) 4 sativa (Arjan??s haze #1, Arjan??s strawberry Haze, Nevilles Haze, Super silver haze) 1 of each. And then 7 white widow.
24) From seeds or clones? Seeds
25) Is this an autoflower strain? No

stop spraying crap on your plants for those little bugs and stop using those homemade remedies. little gnats are common with soil grows and all you need to get is some yellow sticky traps. also if you did a proper flush on the plants repot of of them in a different pot. they are getting a little rootbound. also you maybe watering too much. always lift your pots and make sure they are light before you do watering/feeding.

yea, i tried not to go overboard with the homemade bug killers, but i hate them so much. now im just gonna use the neem repel once a week till they are gone.
I got the sticky traps in there today, and plan on repotting soon.
i try do a wet/dry cycle, but maybe i just need to let em get a bit lighter.
Whats ur opinion of the leafs? think they are just a result of what ya already said?
Also the twisted leaf growth of the nevilles haze, whats that about?

Gnats do no real damage. It's not necessary to spray poison on the plants just for them. Usually they hide and breed under leaf-litter. (clean the crap from the soil surface)

Check my signature for my experiences in dealing with the heat...

Cannabis prefers a wet-dry cycle, but don't let them completely dry. Especially in smaller pots which dry quickly.

Most liquid ph tests are unusable for runoff, as the color-coded test results are skewed by the tinting of the runoff itself. A ph pen is a great addition to your growroom, but avoid Hannah. (I use Milwaukee) If you get a ph pen, get the storage solution and the calibration stuff from the same manufacturer.

Looks like it was time to transplant a while ago.

Have you taken a look at Bio Grow's weekly feeding schedule? Is a better way to feed the ladies than being on a random schedule. Not the easiest schedule to follow, but if you need clarification, give a holler.

Rusty: Thanks for the reply! I wish i knew some of this before i spent 36 euro on the damn Neem Repel  but fudge it.

How about Adwa ph & Ec tester? special offer goin, buy one get one free? And if i can't find the solutions made by the same manufacturer is it a BIG deal? or just somethin i should aim for?

As for the transplanting, do u think all of em need a stepping up? i was thinkin of putting the orange pot plants up to the 11/12 litre pots, and then the white cups into the orange pots for a few weeks. (I never knew proper pots were so expensive, over 30 euro for 10 pots, god damn.

What do u think of the soil i am using? should i grab a different bag before i repot?

As for the schedule, i am following it, but think i fucked up a little. i only realised now that it seems to be saying 1ml A WEEK, i assumed 1ml a feeding for those number of weeks... oopps.

thanks again bud.

Ph pens need calibrating to be accurate, and that requires calibration solution. Also, you can't let the probe dry, or it will kill the effectiveness and accuracy. Water can be used, but it spoils and becomes an algae farm. Avoid soil probes, as every one I've tried sucks bad.

I get my pots from the local nursery, where the used pots range from 25 cents US for a 1 gallon (4 litre) pot, up to one dollar US for a 15 gallon (60 litre-but too big for me) pot. I flower in 5 gallon (20 litre) pots, though. Pot's are only new once, so used pots are fine. If concerned, they can be washed-out before use with bleachwater.

I'd have to know the soil ingredients before commenting on it's effectiveness. I work with peat-based potting soils, and nothing else. Works great.
