Noam Chomsky

Anybody familiar with this guy's work? He's a new idol of mine and an exquisite genius...his essays deal with a range of fascinating and enlightening political topics that I would recommend anyone read. He exposes U.S. imperialism and the suffering it inflicts on the world, the empty rhetoric that is everywhere, the corrupting influence of the media, the actual motives behind interventions, etc.

I challenge any defender of U.S. humanitarianism to read 'Imperial Grand Stragegy' (a fairly lengthy essay but certainly no book) and maintain their faith. If you don't want to read it, look up videos of him on youtube...he's the most persuasive dissident I've read.

I love Chomsky's lectures and just his point of view in general. :thumbsup:
The best part is that he isn't some firey rhetoric spitting lunatic, he just has encyclopedic knowlege of history and current events and he speaks truth from a place of enlightenment with quiet and even tones. He doesn't play to the crowd like poloticians or try to spin the info in favor of one ideology or another, he simply annalizes documented evidence and tells it like it is.

Yes, a interesting man he is. Kind of reminds me of, and I even get him confused with some times, Michel Chossudovsky. Check out GlobalResearch.ca - Centre for Research on Globalization (http://www.globalresearch.ca)

Michel is a part of that web site, which is similar to Naom's views.

Google 'Noam Chomsky war on drugs' for starters and you'll find some fascinating interviews that show his wisdom....after that, basically anything will be just as good.

There's an excellent interview with him at 'High Times' also.

Chomsky is, along with the literary/religious critic Harold Bloom, my favourite living intellectual, and one of the very few of any eminence who has the courage to combat the entire system.

Yeah, I know what you mean, England, France, Switzerland, Denmark, Canada, Taiwan, Austria, Belgium, Japan, India, Finland, and Germany are all socialist hell holes that no one would ever want to visit.

Im sure you really dont want me to go look up all the bad laws and cruel things things they do n these countries. I could start of with England and say your not alaud to even have a 2 inch knife on yourself for self defence when they banned all guns and now all the criminals have the guns. How police harassment is HORRIBLE, there. You walk down the street and with out probable cause your stoped, detained, questioned, searched, and taken down to be filed. Dont believe this happens alot haha ask some brits.
Dont even get me started on Finland or Canada. If you like getting forced by military police to take vaccinations the government tells you you have to take, no matter what your religion or personal fears or suspicion of saftey(finland). Im not even going to list the rest, If you think any of those other countries are better than the USA get the fuck out you commy scum.

I suppose I commy scum, since while all those countries are extremely flawed, the USA is the biggest, most festering pile of propaganda and self-important deception the world has ever seen.
