All they meant was that it wasn't a FAD or a POPULAR THING with the kids in the midwest until after they saw other kids in other places doing it...it's all about the popularity...just like DKNY came out all popular in NY and Gucci and praddah and all that came out in new york all popular before it did in the south...but we in the south still had access to these clothes, just not a fashion sense for it. Same thing with drugs...I would classify CCC as a designer drug like ecstacy...i mean the damn things are called skittles for crying out loud!
