I've had chronic pain for years, probably a decade or more. I've been on what I'd call mild pain killers (tylenol 3) lately but they are really not great.. and whats really worse is my doctor is afraid of getting me "addicted to narcotics". I tried relaxers, anti-imflamatory, excersise, acupuncture, physio to name a few.

I tried pot a few weeks back and I've never felt better for that long without something. Not only that but it didn't hurt my stomach, I slept great that night...

I wonder if I should persue it with my doctor, or should even try to talk to ANY doctor about medical marijuana. I'd feel better with medical over other, it may work when I'm feeling really shitty. But I don't know if a doctor will really look at my case and see if its worth doing and wonder how I would argue it - how do you normally argue the point with them?

I would definitely pressure your doctor, they are there to make you feel better. It's their job, If he won't do it find a doctor that will. This is your life we are talking about, not his twisted moral baggage.

"addicted to narcotics" That always cracks me up. People say that then go home and dig out their numerous bottles of pain killers. I know many people that have those big blue week long AM/PM pill regiments, no less than 8 pills in each of the little 14 compartments, because pain killers have side effects, and it becomes a perpetual barrage of pharmaceuticals to relieve side effects

They call us druggies? THE NERVE!

You should approach your doctor IMO.

definitely agree they use that argument too many damn times.. and I'm taking diff drugs for side effects (sleep, stomach). My friend's have never seen me "stoned".. or even drunk! but they've seen me with my current drug plan and had been worried about me driving.

and if you to look at me you wouldn't think i'm hopped up on pills, I'm a lightweight.
