Being an avid listener of metal, I've grown to accept and respect Satanism. I don't really believe in it at all, nor do I believe in any other deity, but I'm looking for novels about Satan and Hell in general. Mainly stuff thats like a war between Heaven and Hell, but with Hell coming out on top and the story being told from Satan/Lucifer/Baphomet's etc. etc point of view.

Interesting topic.
Be prepared for people to be come squeemish whenever you talk to them about it.
My suggestion would have to be "I Lucifer" by Glen Duncan. (sp?)
It's about satan getting one more chance from god to live a good mortal life.
Satan gets to inhabit the body of a wrighter that has commited suicide. The whole book is like a journal of satans time spent in this body. There is alot of observation about life from satan's point of view, and in general it is just an excellent book. I'm not even interested in satanism or anything, but I almost couldn't put it down.
If you havent checked it out definately give it a read. Enjoy. :D

Thanks, that sounds rather interesting. I don't really see Satanism as evil. Its only an evil thing if you look at it from an evil point of view. But because of everyone's perspective in life, is there really ever a true evil?

you have to have true evil to have true good. you can't have light without dark, love without hate or you can't have a god without a devil (why would we need a god to save us from then?) etc etc.

the universe must have balance and harmony. at least, that's my perspective.

The universe did not have a balance in the beginning...

The universe did not have a balance in the beginning...

thanks, but that wasn't the point. and it has a unique way of balancing itself out.

Thanks, but I was not trying to make one. Just adding to the discussion and not trying to take away your point;)

If the beginning did not have a balance, and since you cannot see the future, how do you really know that a balance must be maintained throughout our universe?

The universe does not know sin or right and wrong. It simple exists. These are made up by us!
