How long can you keep your hand in between the light and the plant? Depending on your level of ventilation, the plant might be getting burnt by your light.

I could just hold my hand there all day if i wanted. Its warm but not hot. what height should i have a 600w hps light from the plant. i have seen lots of different heights on the net i saw 50cm n that did not cause it to turn the leaf edges up but i feel thats to far and taking forever to grow.

Upcurled leaf margins indicate acute heat stress... your temperature is high relative to a low humidity. Make sure you're watering enough- not enough to drown the plants, and be certain that the pot DOES get rather dry between waterings, and try raising your light just a little bit. Do you have a reading on the actual % relative humidity in the room?

Nah no % reading its just a simple grow in my shed. it gets enough air as its outside. i have the light on at night so the plant is kept warm during the cold nights. it only seems to upcurl when i lower the light. What is the exact height i should have the light? i water it 250ml everysecond day is that ok?

Forget about trying to measure your water volume, or your light distance. Raise your light just a little bit. Water when you feel that the pots are light to the touch- and water well when you do water. It's more of an art than a science. And depending on how warm it is, or how dry the surrounding air, your watering frequency will change over time, so start training yourself to judge when the plant WANTS water. Good luck!

Experience with plants is something that one just has to gain over time. You gotta love the little techniques and perks you learn and develop the more you grow.
And Stinky, I've read a lot about you, but have yet to really "meet" you in a thread. Nice to meet you, I like your word choice and style. Very motherly from my perspective.
One love,
SMG
