i need some help!

hi this is my 1st grow, i thought i was doing so well, and they just started to die 1 by 1 anybody got any ideas what happened! these r 5 wk in 12/12 and r just so small! they r northern light big bud

For starters, once a male drops his pollen...he dies. (cannabis is an annual)

hi do you mean that the two plants i have left are males that have pollenated a female and they are now dieing this has been my first grow and everything that could go wrong has went wrong !!!!

Sorry...Hard to tell with one of em, but I'm positive on the other. Did they look exactly the same? Females have hairs that come out of the calyx's. (calyx's look sort like the male nanners before the flower opens, but they aren't clumped like grapes)

If it's any consolation...it looks like they were pretty healthy. :thumbsup:

Most gardeners will plant a couple extra seeds in their own cups, to increase their chances of getting females. (or they go with femmed seeds)

regular seeds should give you 50% male, 50% female plants. the more seeds you plant the more females you have a chance of getting.

did that make sense....it kind of confused me.

how about this....say you plant 10 seeds, in theory you should get 5 male, 5 female. so you pull the males once they show their sex leaving you with 5 females.

if you plant 100 seeds, in theory you should get 50 males, 50 females. you pull the male plants and you still have 50 females. then you can kill off the females that don't show the desired characteristics. it's a backup plan.

hi! i started off with 10 seeds and we had a heatwave here the loft got pretty hot nearly 40 degrees!!and thats why i think 7 off them died off! n i was left with 3 of wot i thought was 2 females and 1 male so i got rid of the male here is few pic

Sorry to say it, but no, numbers 1 and 3 were the girls and 2 and 4 were the boys.

Yea 2 is a male full of seeds and pretty sure 4th one is male too. Sorry for your loss of 2 females.

thanks 4 everyones help, oh well that was a waste of 3months, can only get better now! ive threw them away n knocked lights off!any recomendations on what seeds to buy next? 4 begginers with a big yield? this time im going to put 30 seeds down! ......definatly not as easy as i thought... gutted!:(
