Ive been having a problem with it being a little yellow throughout the whole grow but Thursday I changed the nutes to the "Aggressive Growth" cycle according to GH, and she is starting to look pretty sick! Im getting ready to try and transition to blooming next week but I dont know if she's healthy enough to start! My other girl is looking great, an ever so slight yellow tint to a couple leaves, but over all pretty good. What do I need to do?

you should fill out the trouble-shooting form found in StinkyAttics sig then ask for help...be easier for people to pinpoint the problem

I bet the PH on the other girl is not that bad, But could get close soon.

What is the PH ?

It doesn't look like nute burn. Looks like nute lockout.

This reminds me of my days as a learning resident.
Does it hurt when I do this ?
Let me see your roots and cough. LOL

No really, how's the temp of the water and what do the roots look like ?

The roots on the healthy one seem to be long and strong! On the girl thats sick they seem to be slightly withdrawn, by that I mean they are not nearly as long as that of the healthy one, but there are alot of them. As far as my pH, Im using the liquid test kit (the one you drop the stuff in and it changes colors) and ive tried to keep it as close to around 5.8 as I can judge by the color comparison. Its a yellow orange but a little more on the yellow side. (Yellow being 6 and orange being 5).

You need a meter. At least find a hydro shop or some one that can tell you the color after your nutrients have been added. Here's a link, I get 2 or 3 at a time just to keep on hand with calibration solution. They are good meters and cheap. Once you get a meter you die without it.

pH METER (Hand Held) Milwaukee pH600 (http://www.aquariumplants.com/pH_METER_Hand_Held_Milwaukee_pH600_p/pr1408.htm)

Are they drinking much water ? I would guess not. You can get by on nute strength by watching the leaf tip burn but PH is king and not much room to play with. We stay in a 5.2 to 6.0. Anything over or under and they don't drink much. Then one nute or another is locked out causing problems.

Yeah, I just checked the pH and it was stupid high, IDK what happened if anything it was low when i checked it and changed the nutes thursday. I guess its possible for it to change like that. I'll definitely keep an eye on it for now on. And thanks for the link. I hope I havent done too much damage to them by letting it get this far like that.

Dam I was gonna say PH too! I bet you caught it in time. Keep an eye on it and add a week to veg so it can recoup a lil before you flower.

It's a bit of work and it seems PH is most problems. The reason for ups and downs can be many. That's why just a cheap meter can make your hydro go so much easier. We check it 4 or 5 times a day.

It's not too late. Like tinytoon says give it a week and she will be green again. Keep on checking.

Let us know or show some pic's when she greens up to let the rest of us learn from it.

Hey to tinytoon.
