I have an aurora indica plant at two weeks flowering now and notice
the hairs are kinda frizzy looking at the ends with some spliting. The plant seems otherwise perfectly healthy except some slight droop in places. Is this species sensitive to hydro.:hippy:

A picture would help, but are you talking about the two hairs that come out of each calyx?

Two normal looking hairs except, they are really thin at the ends
of most with some splitting like split ends on a human hair. It gives the
bud a frizzy look on top:hippy:

Would like to see a picture, but has anything rubbed, bumped, scraped or munched the pistils?
The pistils are tubes that catch, absorb and transport pollen inside the tube to the embryo inside the calyx. (the birds and bees of cannabis seeds) Never seen a pistil with 'split-ends'. Have you tried conditioner? <kidding>

Ill try to get pics today, the splitting isnt wide spread but most of the ends
are just weak looking, not dead but tapering from white and puffy to thin and shriveled on the last third.Ican see under mag. a signifigant color change
from creamy white to dull yellowish where it gets thin.Definately not dead
though.Just kinda looks deficient.:)

As the bud developes and bulks, the pistils age past their prime, and wither-away. That's normal. Also, the pistols get damaged, rubbed-on, broken, hidden under a leaf, clogged... Keep in mind that pistils are not an indicator of plant maturity, trichomes are.

It probably is ,I probably spend a little too much time with them
and am a little used to the big puffys on my afgans. At three wks those look
gigantic compared to these. The last two AI I started died abruply at two wks
floweringand Im a little freaked out because I never really figured out why.I assumed it was because of my ppm creeping too high .It had frizzy bud development also but showed some other pretty obvious signs before they
went limp and died. :hippy:
