alright. im considering getting a tatoo. but what i cant stand is all these ppl that run out and get themselves periced and fuckin tatooed and tell everyone else to do it...its like fuck off man.

sum chick was talking about getting a tatoo and shes like ud look hott with a tatoo on ur arm or back. like see wtf is the point of having sumthing if it has no real meaning and is just there to make u cool or hot

i think a lot of ppl need to really think y there periceing sumthing or tatooing that, dont just run out and fuckin peirce ur nipple cuz ur bf thinks it looks hot.

god dam ppl need to think...sorry bbut im annoyed and bored right now so ur all gonna have to read this crappy thread...

Hey man, I agree with you that tattoos should be thought out and have some sort of meaning. And anyone who tries to tell you what you should or shouldn't do to yourself should fuck off.

I myself am tattooed and pierced and I would NEVER think of trying to push either of those on another person. They should be expressions of individuality, even if it is the same ol' earring that everyone and their brother has, as long as there is some intrinsic value in it for you.

That being said, if you are considering a tattoo, think about it, hard. Tattoos are permanent and serve as a window into that moment of your life. For instance, I have a tattoo of my daughter's name and birthday running along my collarbone. There is deep personal meaning behind that. Don't be the kid who decides they want ink and walks in and and chooses a piece of flash off the wall without thinking about the decision.

I highly suggest you spend the time to research tattoo design, meaning, etc. before getting inked. www.bmezine.com is by far the best online resource I have come across in the area of body modification. Go, check out some tattoos, check out some experiences, learn. You may go there looking for information on one subject and come away with the desire for something completely different. That's how I got interested in suspension.

And fuck anyone who feels they know what is best for you as far as body mods go, they are a personal expression, and anyone who says different has no right to be in a tattoo/piercing studio.

i got my tounge pierced while i was all fucked up in canada. i didn't even want my tounge pierced, but i awoke the next morning and there it was, blingin. girls like it so i guess its all good, and it was one hell of a weekend :D

Your opinion is not right or wrong. My brother and his friend both have a tombstone with 666 on it on the same spot on their chest. They got it the same night, he also has a dragon and a spider on different legs, his arm wrist has 2 really morbid skulls, dice, a devil in a cowboy hat, and flames around his wrist. I probably left out something but oh well. Uhhh the tainted sun from Godsmack on his right arm and a biohazard symbol on his back. He also has his lip pierced and a bunch of piercings in both ears. He did it all for fun.

BTW he did almost all his piercings himself and he is a tatoo artist and did the spider on his leg and all the tats on his left arm. Cool huh? I think so.

It should be your own choice.I have 4 tattoos and they are all something that means something to me.I didnt get them to be cool as a matter of fact there usually always covered.

I'm getting a tatoo. I could have rushed and got something of the wall, but luckely there was nothing i liked. I have to think about something i want. Its with you forevor so you better want it. For some reason the Led Zeppelin hermit is catching my eyes. If you dont know what that is its the gut with the cape, staff, and lantern on the stairway to heaven posters. I dont know why i like it though. there is a quick pic. Just an idea of course.

for not enough herb- maybe getting a tat or piercing is a lil too much if you are trying to impress the opposite sex- but cmon, some people see tats and piercings like a shirt or sock- and why do we wear shirts or socks? cuz if we didnt- wed be shunned or cast out because we couldnt cover our beer gut and mask our deadly feet smell, so i guess in her mind- shes thinking of it like, "oh, hey (not enough herb), you would look soo freaking hot if you put on a brown belt!" - for my three cents- i think tats or piercings are disgustingly hot- if you are willing to get either, it shows you can handle the pain and you got the angst, or that mysterious rebellious side, or your passionate -enoguh blabber. i need to go to sleep..

Wow, where to begin!?!? Tattoos are an expression of oneself. I can understand the point of the original posting, but I do agree that if you decide to express yourself from choosing off of a wall, that is your choice. Personally I waited til I was 31, and designed my own, wanted my own significance, but that was my choice. Also, agree that no one should tell anyone what to put or do to their body. Thought must go into the fact that this expression is somewhat permanent, don't do it cause it is COOL...do it cause you WANT to. -----**looks at Tat and smiles :D

but if you're going for body mods, get something interesting...tats and nipple peircings are old hat now. if you go to the right place you can get metal beads sewn between your knuckles...like large metal beads, under your skin
it looks weird but you never have to worry aboot getting stopped for brass knuckles ;)
