View Full Version : Wondering if I Have Enough Time

I took an at home Drug Test last night because I thought I was going to be tested today. My line was there but pretty faint so I planned to dilute (It had been 28 days since I last smoked, it was pretty heavy for two weeks before I was clean for 28 days but I was clean before that). I got ready to dilute, but turns out I didn't have to pee. I have to go back in exactly two weeks and might be facing testing.
My question is, will the 2 weeks be enough time if I just smoke once today? I'm just worried because I know I must be sitting at about 45-48 nanograms right now. Is this enough time or would it be better to not take the chance? I've read it all, that 3-5 days is enough time for moderate users but how much will the one time burn shoot up my level?
I'm about 140 pounds and 5'11. I'm pretty skinny.
Thanks for the help.

Your home test certainly didnt tell you this because home tests lack the ability to give a quantitative analysis. If youre thinking this based on your faint line test result, then you are in error. There is no meaning attributed to the intensity of the line. Even synthetic urine can produce a faint line on an assay. Any line appearing in the "T" region is a negative regardless of how faint it is.

So will one burn be OK if I have 2 weeks in this case?

Just an update ... I burned through less than a g last night. I'm going to start drinking 64oz. of water and taking Vitamin B complex just to be on the safe side.
Will this be enough time? I'll dilute that day too just in case.

Any fluid consumption days before the test is useless. It may give your kidneys a workout, but the rate in which THC metabolites are filtered in from the bloodstream by the kidneys remains unaffected.
Therefore fluid-loading is only helpful on the morning of the U/A. Because the actions of fluid consumption are only temporary, once all of the fluids taken in had been urinated out, a 'dirty' donor will resume testing postive for THC.
For proper ways on diluting, read N2's Dilution sticky thread. Drinking more fluids than whats required in the sticky will increase the chances of the sample being ruled "too-diluted".

Drinking 64oz (recommended amount) of water increases your metabolism by 10%.

Again, Drinking water of any amount has no effect on the rate in which the kidneys filtering in THC metabolites from the bloodstream and depositing in your bladder to become detected.
The purpose of drinking fluids is to dilute the concentration of THC metabolites thats present in the bladder, so the urine sample registers below the screens cutoff limit. As I stated in post #5, this action is only temporary.
And contrary to popular (however false) belief, You dont want to raise metabolism if you have a few days or less before the U/A. Instead you need to slow down the metabolization of THC. THC is metabolized into THCA and released into the bloodstream (as a result of fat cells being burned). From there, the kidneys filter the THCA from the bloodstream and deposits them in the bladder to be detected.
For 3 days before the scheduled U/A. you want to slow down the metabolization of THC - stop all exercise and be as dormant as possible to prevent a bunch of THCA being released into the bloodstream, which will end up in the bladder.

Drinking 8-10 glasses of water per day increases your metabolism isn't something I'm making up, it's a pretty well established fact.
Of course water loading days and days before a test won't help clean you out.
Anyways, this is all off-point. Do you think with 14 days after being clean and smoking once is enough time?

Do you think with 14 days after being clean and smoking once is enough time? Each person is different. Take a home THC test so you know for sure, instead of relying on guesswork from others.
