personal preferance. when i was growin i used soil and all organics. i made my own compost, had a ready supply of chicken crap. the only "chemical" ferts i used was rock phosphate.

but thats like askin the question what kinda light? some like natural sun others artificial. its all personal prferance. i myself think that out door grown is much better that indoor. personal preferance

Your plants will grow faster using Hydroponics

soil-cheaper
Hydroponics-Not so cheap

I Like Hydroponics Alot more.

Because if you can come up with the right combo it's the best in the world. Most times the best you will ever have is your own. And these are why.
Hydro is king.

Long live soil...Heartier taste, less equipment and portable. (easy to move them from veg room to flower shed)

Might also be a med user tired of paying retail, wanting to make the right choices.

I see your point. Please try one. There are still people here to help either way.

Are you growing for meds ? I will want to help that much more if that is the case. We should have the right to take care of ourself.

Decide the path.

I can see Rusty's point on ease of moving and such but I have only done Hydro so I can't really do a fair comparison

hydroponics and airoponics are the best way to go but for the simpler easy way is soil but with soil you have more care and love in the plants

its close to the same as hydro but the water is spurted upward by air like when you blow air through the straw of a soda from a fast food joint and the fluid gets sprayed up in your face. but in this case the fluid is water and nuits being sprayed up on the roots of your plants if i had a pic i would show ya but im sure you can google it

Aeroponics give constant oxygen to your roots via the water. What happens is oxygen enriched water is pumped through sprayers/misters and they get misted on the roots. Below is an example of how it works.
