My friend has a very similar vape. He used a non-contact thermometer (Infrared Thermometer from Harbor Freight Tools, $24.99 USD (http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=93984)) to verify the actual temperature at the tip of the ground-glass heating interface. This is very important to get consistent, good vape from it. (My friend sets his at 220° F on the front of the vape to get ~375° F at the tip of the heating interface.) Don't trust the reading on the vape itself until you have calibrated it with the thermometer.

Next, upon first use, it is wise to turn on the vape and let it heat up for the customary 10 minutes, and then sit at temperature for 15 minutes more before using. This will drive off the majority of the fumes held in the glues and other crap used to put it together in China. Once the fumes disappear, you can load up your whip and go for it.

It looks like a china import. It comes in a few different but very similar styles and with a few different company names. I suspect Noble is a type made by the same company.

The box (for the most part) wont be solid wood It will be compressed wood type, which some people say you might smell when it gets hot.

Because it's from china, and following the argument that they put lead paint on childrens toys, they wont be too fussy about the components used other than to choose the cheapest type.

However, that said, it will work and after getting used to the temps will probably get some good rips off it.

But for me the lead/brass issue is too much, and kind of makes the hole point of vaporising a waste of time. My thought process would be potentionally it's doing more harm than good.

I've extensively researched for the past few months just about every vaporiser you can get.

It's a very individual choice, everyone has different needs.

Anyway for me i have settled on getting the Purple Days for personal day to day use. Then when i can afford it i will get the da buddah, which is more a whip style like this for group situations and when I want a big bowl.

It IS a made in China cheapie. No warranty (unless the eBay seller gives one), questionable parts and construction, and sometimes finicky about holding the assigned temp (and the display won't be accurate as far as the actual vaping temp either). The same vape also has names like Noble Vapor, Digi-Vapor, Top Vapor. Any box vape selling for under about $120 is going to be one of these made in China jobs. They're a real 'iffy' buy. :wtf:

I have 2 of them, one stopped heating don't know why and the other one is surviving but its a really inefficient vaporizer the best way to smoke on them is by flipping the vaporizer and lifting it from the back so that the heating element is at an angle that the weed can be evenly distributed on the whip and doesn't end an the heating element. But had good times when mine was alive.:hippy:
