Last night a light somehow fell and broke the tops off of both of my girls. It was above the axillary bud but they are only about 4 weeks old. What do I do? Are they gonna be ok? Or do I need to just start over? Somebody please help. Im about to cry!

I think you'll be ok.. Cannabis is a very hardy plant as far as damage to a top or stem by breaking.. I don't think it would be any worse than topping them yourself..

My light fell about two weeks ago, rope broke because I added the weight of flex hose and adapter. Burned up a couple plants, and broke a treasured cut of Alison Wonderland. The cut is slowing coming back and the other plants didn't really suffer anything but leaf damage.

Im just worried about the stress that it may have caused them. I dont want to continue with the grow and they end up either not budding or they grow some bulls***!

Your fine. Basically you just topped your plants on accident. Depending on how much was taken off determines how long it will take to recover. I'd say in about a week you will start to see normal growth and branching from the bottom branches.

Heres what they looked like before. I took these pics about 3 days ago. 1 Big beautiful Indica, and 1 big beautiful sativa.

i was bending a plant in the grow phase and i snapped it in half..i thought it was a disaster, but the plant put all its energy into the remaining bud sites.L.S.T AND GET THE LIGHT INTO THAT PLANT

i have had a plant literally split down the middle, it is amazing how resiliant the plant can be. give them the right treatment and they will be fine.

In nature, animals walk on plants all the time, cannabis is really good at repairing itself. It's not stress that will cause hermaphrodite problems.
What will happen is the growth rate will be slightly stunted for a few days, but the stems will also get stronger then if there was no break, and the lower branches will have enhanced growth, so the overall yield will actually probably be higher!
Be careful with the light hanging of course, especially with HID, fire is a bad thing.

I chop the tops off my plants many times over during veg, and smoke em. Iv'e never had one die.
