View Full Version : soap dilluted in water as a pesticide...what is your oppinion?

ive had a few people tell me that the safest thing to use as far as pesticides is a soap and water mix....i went and bought eco-green soap mixture spray made for getting rid of bugs....but will this have a bad effect on my plant.....whats ur opinion?

It is usually safe, depending on what else may be included. Read label really well.
Don't spray plants in strong light or sunlight. Wait until sundown/dark or lights out. Even the safest sprays may burn plants in hot sun/light!
Don't spray near harvest as buds will taste like soap. :( You could wash it off I guess, but you don't want your buds wet anywhere near harvest because of the threat of mold.
Is this because you have an infestation? What pests are you seeing?

Soap and water work good. It gives the bugs the raging shits and they dehydrate and die. Just becareful with the mix. You son't need much soap and hit them about every 3rd or 4th day to get the newborns. Its easy to kill a crop if you overdue it.

what i have seen r little brown spots on the leaves and have noticed a lil white bug on the stem the other day...wasnt a spider mite...not really sure what it was....but mainly do u think this eco-green soap mixture will do well?

Should do fine. Just follow the instructions. Don't try to kill them all at once.
