Help Reading Home Test

Hi first time poster.

I am taking a drug test in the next few days and have taken a home test and was wondering if people can give me some feedback. I haven't smoked in 42 days and used to smoke daily previous to stopping. My concern is that with the home test they say that the two lines is negative including if the one line is a light pink. My concern is that i have two lines, one dark red and one light pink but as in regard to getting tested at a place like quest is this result enough to make me feel comfortable for passing.

Yes, I am also curious of that. I used a different home test but my results were similiar..., so I'll be watching both your and my posts to see if anyone has a definitive answer. :thumbsup: Just check out my thread above yours, someone has posted there you are A - OK!

if you havent smoked in 42 days i would say you're golden. if you're concerned about the color/faintness of the line you shouldn't be. certain chemicals excreted in your urine can cause the line to be fainter/darker and should be of no concern.

This is a pre employment test for Comca$t. Should I expect the cut off levels for thc to be set at 50ng? does anyone know what Comca$t's tests are set for?

First, you passed your at home tests and they are 95-98% accurate. I think you are good to go as long as you abstain from smoking. Second, I do not know about comcast testing but they are most likely set at 50ng/ml which is standard. They will probably set you up at quest with an immunoassay and if you pass that its over. If you do not pass they will send your sample for a gc/ms test which will confirm the immunoassay. Have you tested your first void at home? This void will have the heaviest concentration of metabolites, If you pass that then you are good. If not then read up on the dillution sticky and do a mild dillute with about 40 oz of gatorade, skip the aspirin. Eat red meat starting 2 days prior to your test.

I just test my first void using a 5 panel test and passed. The only thing that has me worried I guess, and i know everyone says that it doesnt matter, is that the second line is much lighter then the first one. compared to the other 4 drugs that my test tested, thc has the lightest second line out of all of them which just raises doubt in my head. I know im being parinoid but this job is sick and I dont want anything messing it up

I have used the same test strip many many times and I have never had a line darker than that, even after not smoking for three months once. After researching the matter cause I was wondering about it too, I was told by several different sources that even the faintest line, even a ghost line, means you are negative. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Any line no matter how faint is a negative.
